Served in a shaker pint (at several places in Asheville). The body was clear and honey colored. The off tan thin head left only a ring of foam.

The smell was herbal, crisp hops.

The taste mirrored the aroma. Enough malts but off balance toward the herbal hops. Juicy citrus. Just right. Clean with a nice lingering grassiness.

The mouthfeel was medium with adequate carbonation. Solid.

Appearance: Golden color that has a nice froth and lace

Smell: Abundance of hops. Very nice smell of hops with a slight citrus/malt undertone.

Taste: A great amount of hops at first taste. Incredible character of hops but very smooth at the same time. Nice balance of malt flavor. A bit of a bitter finish from all the hops but very good.

A very good IPA which I highly recommend.

a: This was a slightly hazy medium copper color. It was served to me with a small sticky head.

s: Lots of leafy, lightly citric hops leap out of the glass. Moderate caramel malt balance.

t: Hugely hoppy with lots of overt bitterness. Some citrus, but mainly grassy or leafy. Sweet caramel is plenty noticeable.

m: Heavier than expected for an average sized IPA.

o: Really nice IPA to pass the time with while I waited for my BBQ.

Medium copper color with average clarity. Fine, rocky head with excellent retention, leaving lots of sticky lacing.

The aroma is nice and malty - biscuit, caramel; hops are a bit wanting on the nose, but perhaps this is due to the cold temperature.

The flavor is of herbal hops nicely balanced with nutty malt flavors. Long dry finish with just the right lingering bitterness to inspire another drink.

Medium body, mouthcoating. A very nice example of the British IPA style that shows that all IPAs dont need to be hop bombs to be outstanding. A great accompaniment to food.

Reviewed from notes taken from serving at the Asheville Airport. Served way to cold, but as it warmed up, it showed its stuff beautifully.
