I've head this on draft at their pub, but it was a while back and this is for the bottled version.

Appearance is fine. Slightly hazy brown. Not much head after pouring.

Nose is malt and caramel, but not much else.

Taste is ok for the style. On the sweeter side. Nothing off putting, but perhaps the short, slightly sour finish. No real depth, but nothing bad.

Mouthfeel is strangely viscous. Not exactly what I had in mind.

Overall it's fine, but nothing to write home about.

12oz bottle into a pint glass.

Pours a deep dark brown with a thin half finger head. While the head is not big it has decent retention and ok lacing.

Aroma of sweet caramel and roasted malt with some hints of coffee. A little biscuit in there too. Nothing really in the way of hops.

The flavor is roasted malt and toast with some biscuit. Caramel and toffee underneath and it is quite sweet throughout. Some light spicy hops underneath with a moderate bitterness. Way too much carbonation with a spritzy but sweet mouthfeel.

Overall, not very good. Tastes like a homebrewed brown ale. No real yeast character and way too much carbonation. I'll pass next time.

Color is slightly hazy copper brown with a very small fast disappearing head, leaving no lace. Smells of straight barley with so toasted malt notes and a bit of earthy hops. Taste is toast and malty, slightly bready, herbal and earthy hops at the end with a dry finish. Mouthfeel is light in carbonation, medium body and slick finish.

This one was ok, but nothing mind blowing. Not something I'd get again.

A: Pours a crystal clear dark reddish amber in color with some light amounts of visible carbonation and some garnet red highlights. The beer has a half finger tall fine creamy light beige head that reduces to a large patch of thin film and a slightly thicker ring at the edges of the glass. Minimal amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light to moderate aromas of toasted and nutty malts.

T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of toasted and nutty malts with just a hint of roasted malts. There is a slight amount of earthy hops present which impart a light amount of bitterness which fades rather quickly.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth.

O: Very easy to drink with a pleasant flavor that is not too malty but not bitter either - well balanced. Definitely a beer that I could have several during a session and I think it would pair very nicely with pub food.

Pours a semi transparent reddish brown.

The smell is dark malts, caramel, coffee. Smells really good.

The taste is coffee, and dark malts, it's also very nutty.

The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with medium carbonation.

I really enjoyed this, smells great and flavorful. This is a really great lower end abv beer.

A - Pours a deep brown with a slight tint of amber, really nice finger of light chocolate colored head, retention is ok, a thin layer remains after several minutes, lacing is ok too.

S - Toasted toffee malts, earthy/woody flavors, slightly chocolaty with some earthy hop notes.

T - Roasty bitter malts and earthy (slightly lemony) hops up front, not dry/hoppy bitter at all initially. Sweet toffee and traces of chocolate malts shine through and the finish is a bit citrusy/almost funky (in a very mild way). Aftertaste is that citrusy/slight funk, quite woody, and fairly bitter from earthy hops. Mildly dry (bitter) aftertaste lingers a decent bit

M - Lighter bodied, pretty well carbonated, very drinkable.

O - Tasty, guzzled 4 or 5 sips at once and am enjoying it more. Not amazing, but decent flavor, lots going on, and very drinkable.
