A: Arrives in a standard shaker glass. Slightly hazy golden copper color with a small sticky white head that settles to a film and ring that stick around for the entire glass. Minimal lacing left behind on the edges of the glass.
S: Nice hop profile that gently reeks of grapefruit and tangerine. There is a nice, very subtle, sweetness that accompanies the citrus fruit, resembling apricot and vanilla, along with caramel malt. Ample earth on the back end with some grass and dirt.
T: The taste doesn't quite live up to the smell, but it's not far off. Citrusy hops up front with some juicy grapefruit and tangerine. The sweetness doesn't come out quite as much in the taste, with just a hint of vanilla. However, there is a great malt backbone that comes out in the middle of each sip.
M: Arrived quite warm, as it was pour from a traditional engine, which was excellent. Medium bodied with a low level of carbonation providing a gentle creaminess and a nice weight on the palate. Starts out on the sweeter side and then provides a nice drying effect on the back end.
D: Nice surprise to see on tap and a tasty little IPA. Good hop profile, decent balance, and nice mouthfeel. Would like to try again.
