It's no myth that this is Green Man's most impressive and sought after special offering. A mammoth double IPA that boasts 6 different hops, it's the one hopheads wait for. Like a cool rain after a long drought, this one will quench your desire for big flavor and balance.

Poured an orange-gold body with decent head that leaves a touch of lace ring down glass. The hops are mild, earthy and have notes of citric. Smooth, slightly bitter, a mostly clean and smooth beer with slight grapefruit sweetness as well as a touch of tropical fruits. Sweetness balances with dry hops and beer is easy to drink and has a clean finish with touch of dryness.

can dated best by may 22 - pours a thick hazy medium gold, dense white head endures awhile...
full nose of various hops and malted grain....
sweet malts are soon rained on by hop bitterness and a clean smooth finish, very much like rainwater on a window pane-
potent brew to sip on when you wanna pace yourself- very enjoyable

Gotta hand it to you Green Man Brewers, this is a world class DIPA. I first had it on draft at your Brewery in Ashville. It was so fricken good, I purchased a 4 pack before I left Ashville!
Pours a beautiful transparent gold, with a very healthy white head. Aroma is bold, piney & citrus. A classic, world class DIPA taste that retains that bitter, hoppy IPA flavor we all love, but at an 8.2% ABV. Mouth feel is classic! Overall, it’s a must have if you’ve never tried it. And a definite repeat, 3-peat, 4-peat, very drinkable staple for IPA lovers!

Finally, awesome. Poured from fresh can out of the Green Man ipa variety 12 pack

Look - ample golden/straw, hazy body, nice white head. Lacing...

Smell - Hello! Amazing fresh aromas are lively, dank, wet, juicy, resinous, thick, green and powerful good. SO nice.

Taste - big wet hops, light malt ghost, and the alcohol is non-detectable for me. Nice & dry afters.

Feel - good indeed, complements the awesome taste and aromas

Overall - worth the wait. Very drinkable, and one to contemplate and really enjoy! I feel like a more knowledgeable imbiber after really enjoying The Rainmaker by Green Man. If you are a hophead, you gotta make it Rain.

The Rainmaker pours to a medium creamy off-white head on a slightly hazy golden body that is alive with fine-grained carbonation; lacing is fair, consisting of spiky bands. The nose is light-medium in intensity, leading with biscuity malt notes that are quickly overtaken by a blend of pineapple, pine and hints of perfumey florals, all topped by deceptively subdued alcohol overtones. Midpalate, the malt becomes much more apparent as the nutty/caramelly character increases significantly and we get a good view of the bready malt foundation; as a consequence, perceived bitterness is pushed back a good bit to moderate. Compounding the maltiness is a big, distracting boozy undertow that shows as solvent-like. The finish is surprisingly clean, just a flash of nutty malt, followed by the onset of a significant, lasting piney bitterness that has an undesirable fusel charater lurking behind it. Retrogustative olfaction is slightly grassy. Mouthfeel is quite astringent and is big for the light-medium body; the texture is medium-creamy and faintly peppery from the unexpectedly muted carbonation. Between the astringency and the excessive booziness, this is not a pleasant beer to drink. (12 oz bottle, no code date)
