I think this beer is underrated. Not that I am biased, but maybe I am. I have been to the brewpub numerous times when I have visited Asheville, I like Green Man.
Appearance: Hazy bronze with a nice head retention that just sits there and stays.
Smell: Floral, hoppy, resinous and dank. Some Pine but not as much as others. Some alcohol is detected in the aroma.
Taste: Very nicely balance. A full flavor, tropical fruits, earthy dried fruits present, some piney bitterness, but not overwhelming. Malt sweetness is definitely there, but far from cloying, well balanced.
Overall: I loved this beer and found a great deal on it. I would buy it again. Even though it is a bit pricey but the bomber is larger than the standard 22 oz.

Bomber > Alpine Spring bowtie
A - slightly hazed orange gold in color a finger of off white fizzy head very little lacing.
S - Lots of pine and hop resin, orange juice, some caramel malts
T - Taste is a little lack-luster, but still good. You get the bold hop resin with a nice medium bite. Some grassy and pine notes at the end of that, and a mild caramel malt base. You do not feel or taste the 9.3% at all.
M - Smooth with a good bitterness, super drinkable.
O - Excels in aroma and feel, big beer without feeling big. Flavor could use a bit of an improvement, but still a great double IPA.

Poured from the barkeep at Greenman, accompanied by pretzels and spicy mustard.
A nice copper color and vibrant fluffy head meets my eyes as a blast of piney sweet hops hits my nose.
Taste is very nice, with the sweet piney hopes letting the malts balance it perfectly, while also throwing in a bit of floral and tropical notes. There is a honey like sweetness in this beer as well, but it is quite subtle.
Mouthfeel was excellent.
Overall a very enjoyable DIPA.
