Good atmosphere; cozy interior with high cielings (not claustrophobic), lots of llittle seating nooks, garden out back with boules piste, picnic tables out front but not as nice of an atmosphere out there because of street noise; very close to train station; about 4 Castle Rock beers and 4-5 guest beers (good ones like Deuchars) on handpump, small selection of international bottled beer like Chimay, Budvar, Duvel, Leffe, Schneider Weiss, and a rauchbier I couldn't read the label of; decent food menu; not a bad place to while away an hour or two.

This pub is attached to the Castle Rock brewery, giving the initial impression that it's the brewery tap. It's actually just a Tynemill pub that happens to be attached to the brewery and serves its beers. Castle Rock's beers are quite good, but if you don't like them, there's plenty of other good stuff to choose from. Definitely a good stop if you're going through Nottingham.
