Pours a cloudy dark orange (orange when held up to light) with massive white head.
Smell is hoppy modern ANZUS hops of some description- pine, citrus. Rockmelon. Nice, full on and wholesome. Behind that; Belgian qualities.
Taste is lots of fruits- rockmelon is particularly prominent. Perhaps kiwifruit also. Nice Belgian esters and spiciness, but not syrupy.
Mouthfeel is about the Belgian spice and hop bitterness. Some fennel (not aniseed- it's not that strong and is thankfully more subtle).
Greatly prefer this to the Nøgne Ø iteration. (Modern) hoppier and drier. Of course I think this is fresher (~3 months old) than when I had the Nøgne Ø version.

Pours a murky light orange with a foamy off-white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grain, citrus fruit, citrus zest, funk, and yeast aromas. Taste is much the same with grain, earth, funk, yeast, and citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop and earth bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with a nice mix of saison, hop, and funk qualities that get better as the beer warms up.

Has a hazy golden colour and a decent off white head which hangs around nicely. I really like aroma, it's quite citrusy and fruity. The citrus taste also comes through, a bit like grapefruit for me. Good mouthfeel which matches well to the beer. Overall, I'd happily buy one again.

330ml poured into half pint
L - cloudy, a yellowish shade of orange, pours a white rocky head, about 2cm thick. Good retention
S - there is a funky, earthy aroma present - it smells a bit like wet carpet. Also some floral and malt notes in there as well.
T - an interesting see saw of sweet bready malts, and peach, with a astringent sourness and tangy herbs. Fruity hop bitterness towards the end with a tart finish, leaving an almost gorgonzola like aftertaste.
M - well carbonated, dry texture, medium bodied
O - i found this complex and enjoyable, one of the better saisons I've had. The presence of the stella hops makes this beer more like a hybrid saison/ipa.

Appearance -
Pours a pale, clear straw colour. Moderate effervescence retains a full, foamy 1cm head. Leaves plenty of lacing.
Smell -
Hops, eucalyptus, aloe vera, peppercorns, grapefruit. A bit earthy. Not as strong as some brews though.
Taste -
The hops bring out quite a leafy, peppery, and earthy taste. Hints of kiwifruit, rockmelon and pineapple. Definitely more hops than malt, but the bitterness isn't overpowering. Finishes with a cut grass and citrus aftertaste and mineral water qualities. Quite a dry flavour, and the hops are on the earthy end of the scale rather than fruity. A bit Belgian, a bit IPA and a bit sour, with everything perfectly balanced.
Mouthfeel -
Mild fizz on the tongue; lively but not over-carbonated. Moderate body, clean and refreshing. Nothing to fault.
Overall -
A very refreshing brew, big on earthy flavours. Fantastic on a hot day like today. The Belgian and IPA flavours blend seamlessly to produce a wonderfully drinkable beer. Let's hope they revive this one down the track.

An outstanding beer with excellent aroma and taste - I want more!
Tastes like a blend of a classic Belgian with an Indian Pale ale
orange, Belgian yeast, citrus, grapefruit, slight smoke, very slight raspberry, spice and slight pine all mix together to make a great quality beer - excellent balance (other people will probably get other flavours as well - not an easy beer to describe)
