Had on tap at Mad Anthony Brewpub

A- A nice roasty black with less than a finger off white to tan head. Lacing in the whole glass. The head dissipates after a few swigs, but then again almost every single one of their beers offers the same head. Maybe the water.

S- It smells very malty. The oatmeal is in the nose too which is nice. I get the tiniest bit of a hop smell come through when I swirl the glass.

T- A very sweet malt flavor off the bat. Then a roasty malt flavor. As it warms and goes don you taste the subtle nuances of the beer. The oatmeal is there and it's just a nice hint to remind you it's not just an American Stout.

M- The only drawback here folks. I really think that the mouthfeel was only a little bit heavier than that of a guinness. Many people will like that, and overall it didn't bother me, but was surprised.

D- An easy drinker here. I would drink this if they bottled it at home often. I guess I just need to get a growler.

On tap at Mad Anthony and served in a shaker. This stout poured a near black with some light showing through around the edges of the glass. A thin, bubbly tan head quickly faded away. A bit of faint lacing was left around the glass. The aroma of the beer was made up of chocolate and light roasted malt. The flavor was much the same with a hint of oats showing up. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. An average oatmeal stout.
