On tap at Mad Anthony and served in a shaker. This beer poured a dark brown with a thick, creamy tan head that quickly settled. A decent amount of lacing was left around the glass. The aroma of the beer was made up of strong coffee notes and a bit of chocolate. The flavor was dominated by rich, strong coffee with a touch of chocolate and vanilla. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and just a tad thin with a moderate amount of carbonation. An easy drinking porter with a nice coffee flavor.

Had at the Elkhart Brewpub.
A- Came to me a deep dark brown color. Some light red hues from the sides of the glass. One finger mocha colored head that had some good retention. Sheet style lacing down the glass as I drank away.
S- Nice light toasted malts mix with a coffee undertone throughtout the aroma. Chocolate comes and goes with a touch of sweetness from vanilla on the nose.
T- Bigger coffee notes right off the bat. Some roasted grains in the middle of this fights with a semi-sweet chocolate flavor. Backing is vanilla with another coffee like presence into the final ending.
M- Medium mouthfeel. Carbonation was a little light on the style I thought. Flavors blended well together but the vanilla sweetness kept hold of everything. Coffee left on the palate with vanilla long into the aftertaste. Kind of watery for the style I thought and could have been a little more fuller in the body.
D- This was a very drinkable beer. I had a couple pints of it before I had to move onto something else. The sweetness to the beer is the biggest downfall but only after two or three pints.
