Thanks Kev for sharing this one, rats off to ya! 12oz. bottle poured into a snifter. It pours a deep copper color with one finger of head that dies off quickly. Almost no lacing. The smell is very malty, with lots of caramel sweetness. There's just a tiny tiny bit of hops in the nose. The taste is malty as well. Fairly sweet up front, but with a nice hoppy finish. Lots more hop in the taste than in the nose. The mouthfeel is just a little light and watery. The drinkability is good though. Your average amber lager.

Mad Anthony's Auburn Lager is a tremendously drinkable session ale. If I was looking for a beer to accompany a suspenseful NBA Finals or World Series game, this might be it.

There's nothing extraordinary about this beer, but what it does, it does very well. It is clean, well balanced, nicely hopped, and has sufficient maltiness and a low enough ABV that I can enjoy several in a sitting. Certainly deserving of a pitcher with a group of friends!

Was in Ft. Wayne and picked this one up along with other local beers from the Belmont. Poured into a pint glass.

A: Pale and hazy light brown. Actually Auburn is a suitable name. A
thin bone white head that minimizes and then lingers with stick up
but not lace.

S: Eventful nose. Hops, earthy pine, citrus/grapefruit. Some sweet malt.

T: The earthiness is abundant with the pine, hops, and floral. Some citrus
Comes through the nose.

M: Nice and juicy from the beginning. A pleasant aftertaste. Decent coating.

Color is, well, auburn, that is to say a reddish-brown with a chestnut head that poured 1/2 a finger. Beer is unfiltered or bottle conditioned, a definite plus for me.

Malt is typical sweeter, lightly kilned aromas of toffee, yet there is a very light toastiness underneath. Hops are your traditional floral Lager hops, I'll guess Saaz since the odds are good that I am right.

Way more toastiness in the taste, along with bready hops, clean yeast, and a very slight roast character.

Very bright, yet not harsh. Refreshing.

A tasty beer that could session well at an outdoor BBQ or sporting event. Above Average.

Bottle poured into pint glass.

A: Decent foamy off white head. Appropriately named with an auburn color.

S: Malts, hops, and something a bit sweet.

T: Toasted malts with some caramel. A little bit bitter.

M: Smooth. Decent carbonation.

D: Drinks easy. A bit more bitter than I'm used to in American Ambers. Not bad though.

A thick lather on this well-chilled amber lager. Nose hints at a caramel character, and the taste brings up a nutty, roasty quality, with a little smidge of hoppiness in the finish. Nonetheless, this hop edge seems to be run over by the sweetness of the malts. Medium to full-bodied (for a lager), but this one seems a little off to my tastes.
