Stop #418 on my world brewery tour.

Sunday night near close. One bartender and a bit slow at first until the small crowd thinned a bit.

I did a flight of all beers which were good to very good. I recall the Mai Bock standing out as being very well done. I had the wings which were good but never spicy enough for my liking.

Would certainly stop back in next time I'm "in the Fort."

There are so many craft beers available from nearby breweries that blow theirs away! Not impressed with any of their selections. Always the same selections. Nothing unique. Don't execute a menu that has too many choices. Unimpressed. The place needs a deep cleaning.

i go here a lot...I have the growler... I go for open mic night... etc.

this place has a great hippy pub feel.

the wait staff is amazing. these people do an incredible job, even when they are slammed

the beers are ... alright. I've had maybe 12 of their styles. none have ever been outstanding

they have 8 or more home made brews on tap. that's REALLY good for this town.

the food is fine. doesn't compare to granite city... not even in the same league as JK Odonells it's better than B'dubs or Applebees. the fried foods are hot and crispy, the burgers have plenty of meat, the pizzas have a nice crust (but take 35 minutes).

i keep coming back ... for the service and the atmosphere. and it's local. the food is always forgettable, but i'm never left hungry. the beers are always good and made on sight... my favorite of their beer is the winter Ale and the stout.

Mad Anthony was a place I went to growing up when I couldn't drink yet but it had good enough memories for me to want to go back a few times and it's a good experience. The beer is all better than average but not stellar, still pretty good overall. The real fun is the look from the time you come in from the street and see the big barrel over the door until you sit down. It's a pretty cool place overall. The food is pretty expensive but also tasty. The beer prices are good so it evens out. I prefer the pizzas but the sandwiches and everything else are good too. Service has never been bad. It'as not the fastest but it's always good.

Nice little home town brew pub restaurant. Price was reasonable and food was very good. I would return for the food, but some of the original brews were not too impressive. Service was on par, not outstanding, but good. I felt good about leaving a tip.

I would rate this between the one dollar sign and two. I missed out on octoberfest by one day. But my friend got the raspberry wheat which I tried and thought it was good, i have had the blueberry wheat and they were about the same. I got a cask conditioned ipa and thought it was fantastic. I also got a bourbon barrel aged stout. It was chocolately and was like sippin red stag(aged in red stag bourbon barrells) The beer selection there is ten times better than their bottles, if you visit fort wayne don't but the bottled stuff get a growler or a pint of something that's not bottled because that is the stuff that's good from these guys.

The food was great I had a pizza and it was somewhat expensive 15 bucks which me and the wife split, great pizza though. they have cheap sammies and everything inbetween.

Atmosphere, mad anthony decorates their bars like hippie joints, so if you're into that decor it's your style. the location for this place probably keeps it from being a big time thing in fort wayne. that takes away from the atmosphere for me.

Service was good and i felt i had a quality experience. will go back but it's only a matter of when as it's in a terrible location.

Stopped in with my wife & a couple friends on a late Saturday evening. First impressions I was honestly a bit caught off guard. I was expecting a cleaner/neater place than what it is. The decorations & overall layout in the place are honestly kinda tacky & looks dingy.
The server was nice but pretty short with everything, just lacking any personalty. She was pretty prompt with our orders & she stayed on top of things at the right time.
I can't recall all the beers we tasted in the sampler we got but all of them had just an odd off flavor to them. One of which, the Scotch ale I believe had a funky burnt taste. Actually had a burnt circuitry taste to it. (If you ever worked with burnt up electronics you'll know the taste you get from the smoke from it) The only beer that I did think was pretty good that I had a couple pints of was their chocolate stout.
The food was good but nothing exceptional. The burgers actually taste a lot like a burger from steak & shake just much thicker.
Over all it was a fun night out & somewhere new to try, but honestly I wouldn't go outta my way for it by any measure. I would possibly stop in again if in the area but would rather seek out other options first.

Stopped by a few weeks ago while on business in the area. I didn't expect much given the other BA reveiws of the place. Frankly, "not much" is what I got. The place needs a serious remodel, particularly in the cavernous bar area. It looked like a lackluster effort to give it some personality and a retro 60's era factory look with a few old signs here and there, but the tables and chairs shouted "70's Holiday Inn banquet room". Lifeless and baron is another way to describe it. Then again, so was the beer. Now granted I only sampled their Ruby Raspberry Wheat beer, but coupled with the atmosphere, it told me all I need to know about the brewing talent. Lifeless and thin. Neither raspberry nor wheat in the nose nor pallet. Disappointing. The barmaid, in between mildly combative comments with one of the waitresses about the ingredients in a drink, did provide efficient service. Regardless, I decided to go elsewhere for a decent meal and a few beers. This Indiana brewpub has a lot to learn about brewing and decore. I may still give them a try a few years down the road should I be forced to return to Fort Wayne on business (god help me).

I was visiting a friend in Ft. Wayne and we had both heard about this place, so we decided to give it a shot. The interior was pretty eclectic with writing on the ceiling and lots of trinkets hanging around. The service was alright, but they did seem pretty understaffed. The waitress serving was was personable and efficient though. The food was good, but nothing really blew me away. I had the Irish Stout, and again, that was average as well. Nothing really blew me away, but it is a fine place to go for some food and a beer.

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon, around 3pm. The place was pretty empty. We sat in the bar area but chose to sit at a table instead of the bar, hoping for some decent service. Well, we were wrong.

As mentioned, nobody was there so the atmosphere was pretty dead. I could see it getting a little rowdy here on the weekends, but our visit proved nothing.

The beer was hit or miss. The pale ale was actally very good. Also had a Replicale, which was an ale designed after pre prohibition recipes. It tasted like a mild brown ale and was decent. The Auburn lager was absolutely nasty. Something must have went bad with the batch because it tasted like dirty diapers and sour apples. Yuck!

Service was non existent. In order to get a beer or drink refills, we had to walk up to the bar and have the bartender refill our beers and drinks, rather than our server.

They had about 10 beers on tap which is a pretty good selection, but the beers were inconsistent.

I chose a seared tuna salad that was pretty good. Asked for the tuna raw and it came out medium well: it still tasted okay, just a little dry. The sesame dressing was good. The hummus was very good. Warm pita and red pepper hummus went very nicely with the pale ale.

I would probably go back because it is the only place to get local beer. I will keep my fingers crossed that the beers will be good and consistent.
