I always enjoy this place when I stop by. Not the best beer bar in town, but always fun. It is a neat old building downtown. There is a wall in the back dedicated to darts. A long wood bar and tables scattered about. All wood, and dimly lit. A couple of TV's (with the volume off). Lots of old bottles line the wall. There is even a ghost story that adds to the feel of the place.
The selection is above average. They usually have three Saint Arnold taps, Fuller's ESB, and are the biggest sellers of Spaten in town I believe. A cooler use to be full of bottles, though last time I visited the cooler was completely empty for some reason. Anyway, I will be perfectly happy to drink Saint Arnold and Fuller's all night. It is not unusual to have an old or dirty tap though. The service is nothing to complain about. Just a guy behind the bar who is very laid back and fun to talk to. There is no food, but you can bring in whatever you want to eat.
Overall, not a very busy place. This is a bar downtown that is great to just chill out with some friends.

The Brewery is aptly named, as the building was originally the home of the Magnolia Brewery & Ice Company.
There is a well worn bar seats about 16 or so. There are about 5 large picnic tables to share and some smaller tables on the elevated area that runs along the west wall.
There is a dart area that is also in an elevated area right near the small stage.
Service was friendly enough and I think he was happy to have a new face to chat with.
They offer 34 taps. Highlights include 3 options from Spaten (Optimator, O-fest and Lager), 3 from St. Arnolds, 2 From Shiner (including the underrated Black Lager), Fullers ESB, Maredous, Fat Tire, Blue Moon, a brace of Euro lagers (Czechvar, Stella,) Blue Moon, UK Favs (Tenents, Guinness, Harp, Boddingtons, New Castle), local icon Lone Star and a smattering of Mexican and American Macro Lagers..
Only 10 bottles with the only good options being Duvel and Chimay.
Note that while I was there for happy hour the crowd was on the smaller side and a bit seedy. The bar tender had to kick one guy out and at one point pulled out a baseball bat to make his point to him. Your experience may vary depending on the time and or day of week you go there.

I stopped in to the Brewery Tap during the early evening durring the week. The crowd while I was there was quite a bit older than me and definitely a regular group of people as they actively watched Wheel of Fortune with the bartender. The place is pretty cool it has an old pub feel to it lots of wood and dimly lit. They have a row of steel tip dart boards on the back wall which is a plus for me as I like steel tips better than soft tip darts. The bar tender was very cool and nice despite his claims of teaching beer appreciation classes and Lone Star being one of the best beers in Texas. The selection isn't bad mostly the bigger brands from Europe like Spaten the only crafts were Sierra Nevada and Saint Arnolds. Overall its a chill place to go to have some pints and play some darts.

I went there tonight for my second time. the owner/bartender is a great guy. he is super nice, and his tasters are half a beer almost. the jukebox has a good selection. there are a few dart boards and a foosball table.
i had a saint arnold oktoberfest (one of the last places with a keg) and 2 spaten optimators. there is about 30 taps here and there is a pretty decent selection.
it is a very chill place, and i would definitely go back again. the only down side is that there is no food. so you will have to eat dinner before hand. the other review says you can take food in, im not sure if this is true or not.
