Pours, a hazy orange color. Produced a 2 finger white head.

The aroma is of apricot, peaches, and a straw-like scent.

Tastes similar, but with a light citrus hop presence. Is on the upper end of light bodied. Medium carbonation.

Very easy drinking. Got a growler in mid October. This is more of a summer beer, but it is good stuff.

I eyed this portion of the sampler disdainfully. Well, it came, somebody has to drink it, & I probably shouldn't give it to my ten year old. Here goes nothing.

Wheaty look about it, fuzzy, cloudy yellowish. Nose isn't much to write home about, bit of apricot, grassy, plainy.

Apricot Wheat then decides to come out & be just plain good. This oculd have been brewed by the masters of fruit, New Glarus, the apricot is perfect: not medicinal, not syrupy, plain old good fruit. The wheat is drowned out almost entirely; tiny hop bite on the end. Nice summer sipper, this could take on a lot of BMC drinkers & make them smile.

Very good beer & the surprise of the night. Only the second one we'd sipped & it promised really good things to come.

Pours a finger of white head. A hazed golden yellow.

Aroma: Apricot and wheat flavors. Some spice and sweetness. A bit of citrus mixed in.

Taste: Amazing taste. Straight up apricot. Very fruity. Very fresh. A little bit of wheat and spice. Very good.

Mouthfeel: Clean and easy drinking. Medium bodied with a medium amount of carbonation. Ends clean.

Overall, this was a very enjoyable beer. The apricots were spot on. Very sessionable. I could drink a fair amount of this.

I have seen this on tap many times at Fitgers but did not try it until today. Served in a standard straight sided pint, the beer is a hazy gold with thick off-white head. It has a big nose of apricot backed by grains.

It lives up to its name, apricot, apricot and more apricot. But you know what; it is not over powering as the beer is balanced by a solid wheat core and some perfume notes from the hops.

The mouth is medium with very active carbonation. The bubbles are very small and act as a scourge to keep the beer from being cloying. Well done and tasty.

At the brewhouse, noted at 5.4 ABV.

Cloudy orange, muted amber-orange.

Great fresh apricot in nose and flavor.

No over sugared nastiness sometimes associated with fruit beers.

Wheat malt carries the apricot.

Berry noted in the aroma.

Nice carbonation.

A- A cloudy orange with a white head. Looks to be low carbonation.

S- Well this one is easy, smells like apricot. No booze detected. A slight sweet malt scent. Sort of a earthy clean smell.

T- A nice apricot flavor but not sweet. The wheat gives it an earthy flavor. Slightly crisp, very clean tasting, probably from that Lake Superior water.

M- Very low carbonation. Light body, does not leave the tongue dry.

D- It goes down almost like juice. The low carbonation makes it extremely easy to drink. Exceptional.

Draft at Autumn Brew Review. Pours a slightly hazy orange yellow color with a nice white head. The aroma is very fruity with the apricot and then also has some wheat type notes as well. Medium mouthfeel. Pretty sweet up front with some lingering bitterness as well. Really nice drinker. I could drink this one on a nice hot summer day.

Poured from growler (dated Sept 14, 2009) into shaker pint glass.
A: Pours a clear golden yellow with high carbonation producing a 2+ inch bubbly white head that fairly quickly dissipates.
S: Pleasant and real apricot smell. Hint of soft wheat. Straight forward, but good.
T: Apricot (not quite as nice as the aroma), mild citrus hops, and soft wheat.
M: Creamy wheat feel. Mild fizz from the carbonation.
D: Very drinkable. Nice fruit wheat brew. Good sessionability.

So this was a very satisfying brew. I am pretty skeptical of sweet beers, but this was good. Appearanc is blah with a medium orange color and no head or lacing. Smell and taste are very similar, lots of apricot right up front, that unfiltered wheaty zest and maybe a bit of lemon. Mouthfeel is decent medium in body but no carbonation. Drinkability is quite easy.

Swinging through the Twin Ports I picked up a growler of Fitgers Brewhouse Apricot Wheat Ale.

As I see it, there are two basic ways to get a lot of flavor out of a wheat ale. You can use authentic hefe or Belgian yeast strains to get all those flavors or smells, or you can use a more neutral yeast and add fruit.

This latter approach was what The Brewhouse took with their Apricot Wheat.

A careful pour (don't want to drop that growler), gets a good finger of foam over a cloudy orange brew. The carbonation is modest, the nose is apricot. Likewise, the flavor is tart apricots, wheat, and a bit of a hop off the back. Mouthfeel is light and crisp. Overall, this is a pretty easy drinking, summery beer- light but not flaccid like a lot of other wheat beers.

A- Orange hues and it looks still, but a bit cloudy over all.

S- Good fruit smell, really invites you into the beer.

T- Nice balance of fruit not overpowering the wheat, the only bad thing is this ends a with an unpleasant bitterness.

M- Good mouth feel balance the thickness and carb with the flavors very well.

D- If that bitter end taste doesn't bother you then this is very nice and drinkable.

Good appearance, but for the most part this is a malt-based apricot flavor delivery system. There’s a little wheat in the background, but yeah, you better like your apricot if you order this. I like apricot, but apparently not enough to even finish a sample, yeesh.

A - Hazy orange color. Head is white and settles to a thick film. Lacing is strong.

S - Citrus fruit, apricot and pineapple. Not many beer-like smells, kind of just smells like juice.

T - Again mostly fruity but now with little bit more beer taste to it. Like a macro mixed with some fruit juice.

M - Mouthfeel is crisp and clean with good carbonation.

D - Eh...Its an okay "fruity beer" I guess. Had it for the first time at a brewfest and I thought it was better then. Maybe I'll try it again in a year or so.

Hazed dull orange, or more correct, apricot, under a 1/2" of bone white foam. Looks the part.

Straight up apricot aroma, with glimmers of citrus on the side, a trickle of lemon and orange.

Smooth, sweet, soft and fruity flavor. Mmmm, wheaty. Nice, creamy texture. That about says it all.

Light bodied, tasty, and terribly drinkable. I like this. Not my style so much anymore, but come July I'd fairly toss 'em back.

Appearance is good, a bright but cloudy amberish orange color, decent off white, bubbly head. The smell is definitely of apricots, but there is also a wheat like backbone. The taste, though not too deep or complex, is delicious. Great balance of refreshing wheat, with sweet but tart apricot flavor. The sweet aspect is far from over powering, it is quite balanced. Good, refreshing mouthfeel. I could drink this stuff all day and night long, really any time of year and have a good time. Probably my favorite fruit-beer ever.

Originally rated on February 9th 2005 at the brewpub. Aroma was appealing. Cloudy golden look. Quite thin on the palate. Wheat was almost absent. Not much nose, fairly boring. This is quite drinkable and heavily refreshing, but nothing with any level of complexity.

I had a small sample of this after a couple other beers and decided to re-rate from a growler....Good apricot flavored wheat beer....apricots evident on the nose and the taste but in a subtle way....a nice wheaty base to this lighter bodied american style wheat ale...The apricots flavor is about perfect....not overdone but strong enough to taste... between medium and light bodied...the fruit flavor is very fresh and juicy...I like that and I like the way it meshes with this beer....this is how flavored wheat beers should taste...also some subtle vanilla that really adds depth....nice brew here..

Color is a solid cloud of pale yellow, fluffy solidly thick white head thats sits about a pencil width high and sustains well throughout consumption and leaves lace sticking in tiny spots. Aroma is of a fresh light apricot and apricot skins, quite nice, I just so happen to really like apricots so the smell was dead on, just a bit to light, I want more. Anyways...taste has fluffy wheat grain sweetness thats nice and soft and there's a milding sense of fresh apricot and has a nice velvety apricot skin dryness in the finish thats light and playful. Pleasant, smooth, and easy sweetness with a close to medium body feel and light wheaty texture. Refreshing and a bit on the lighter side and has a nice drinkablity, its just a tad shy of memorable. Getting close to the Pyramid version which I really like and don't mind have'n around for beatin' the easy summer heatin'.
