Regal gold body with a thin off white cap. Lacing is quite full. Aroma is fairly sweet with honey, biscuity malt and pear esters prevalent. The pear comes through loud and clear on the palate as well. Malt base is sweet caramel, warm biscuit and honeyed malt. Nuances of a jacked up Anchor Steam come to mind with a jolt of beglian-like doughy yeastiness. A little pepper and a little farmyard. Really unique beer and it is quite drinkable for the octane level. 10.2? Never woulda guessed.
Serving type: growler
