Not as funky as other farmhouse ale; light and refreshing, like a wheat ale, but more interesting on the palate.

Decent upland offering, but not that flavors and a tad watery. The wheat was there but the other flavors, lemon, grass, spice, that you want in a saison never really come through in the amount you'd like.

On tap at their Carmel pub today. Part of their side trail series. Who knows if it returns or not.
A: Pours a hazy gold color with some light lacing and cream colored head. Awesome.
S: Honey, lemons, grapefruit, and some malts. Complex, but easily conveys what it tries to.
T: The lemons and grassy taste lead up front, with a bit of grapefruit. This is relatively high alcohol, given what it is. It really makes me think of a higher alcohol, more complex wheat.
M: Medium bodied fresh and perhaps a bit Grainy. Still excellent.
This and Schwarz are their top side trails of the year - hope it's kept.
