Poured into wine glass at sour tasting
A - Deep, shimmering purplish, lots of sediment even when poured through a sifter, purple hue to ruby red. Looks unattenuated, grainy.
N - Aromatic funk, spoiled milk, blue cheese, grape bunches, muscat grapes blanketed with tropical, sugary fruits like pineapple, blackberries and maybe rotten bannana. Some phenol, mediciny, astringent hangs faintfully in the background.
T/M - Very wine like, big notes of grape skin, grape juice, nice and spritzy, more bright tropical fruits, tart blackberries and raspberries. Mouthfeel is carbonated but oily and compliments a long, puckering finish.
D - I always enjoy winey, spritzy lambics and saisons, this was great but I doubt I could drink a lot of it.
