Have had many times before, but never done a review. On tap at The Rail.

Pours clear medium straw. Small foamy white head.

Spicy noble hop aroma and some grains.

Crisp hops at the front of the palate. A little grainy sweetness mixed with the hops after.

Light bodied medium carbonation.

Nothing earth shattering, but a very solid beer when I feel like something light. I wish they'd bottle this one over some of the other stuff I don't like as much.

On tape at Upland.

A: Clear golden yellow color.

S: Can definitely smell the hops with some sweetness.

T: Hops up front with some sweetness in the middle and finishes with a slight bitterness.

M: Nice, light, and crisp. Average carbonation.

D: Very drinkable. Good taste, good mouthfeel. Definitely worth repeating in my mind.

A- Came to me a light golden hue. Had about a 3-finger, fizzy head that retained well, but only had a little bit of lacing.

S- Mostly light grassy notes amid other adjunct notes. Some light fruit and floral hints intermingled there.

T- Nothing too impressive right off the bat. Traditional pilsener taste of light hops bitterness. Had a little bit of a sweet hint to it. Mostly grassy and grainy notes that finished clean with a tad bit of the hops coming back.

M- Very light bodied for a pilsener carrying 5.5% ABV. Refreshing on the palate, with about the average to a little less for the style. Easy to drink; I think I could pound these suckers all night.

Overall, not greatly impressed. It was good enough for me to keep an open mind about Upland in general. I like the lighter pilsener styles an average amount, and this was slightly above average for the style, but nothing I'd seek out regularly.

Had on-tap at the Indianapolis Colts Grille in downtown Indy

A: Straw-yellow with a bubbly 2-finger head that recedes quickly

S: Floral hops and cereal, with hints of pine

T: Grassy-hops and sweet malt, there is some earthiness here that I don't really care for.

M: A fuller-bodied pilsner with nice carbonation, it leaves behind an almost buttery texture in your mouth.

O: Good beer. I wouldn't say it's phenomenal, but it's worth enjoying with a burger or some wings.

Ordered on draught at Fire by the Monon in Broad Ripple, IN

Aroma: Grainy cereal, hay, herbal/floral hop aroma, any a light honey sweetness.

Appearance: Dense two-fingered snow white head lasted the trip to my table, and then some. Excellent lacing. Golden-straw colored crystal-clear body.

Flavor: Hay and light honey, followed by balanced herbal hop flavor, and a bitter, but not overwhelming finish. No DMS or acetaldehyde, which can be a tall order for some other small brewers' pilsners.

Mouthfeel: Crisp carbonation, medium-light body. More substance than other domestic US examples I've tried.

Overall: I was very pleased with this one. For starters, the appearance told me the beer was not only fresh, but also well-made (head retention & clarity). While the hop flavor was more subdued than imported Czech pilsners, the hop flavor was pretty decent,, and the beer was refreshing. This is a hard style to do, and Upland does it well. I'll definitely be ordering it again!

super subtle aroma of grains - not much else.

grains, subtle bitter, pretty standard pilsner, not great, not terrible.

high carbonation, subtle bitter, light bodied.

drinkable - yep.

Pours golden with annive white head.

Smells good. Some banana and malty notes.

Tastes like a pilsner - finishes with a hint of fruit, but not enoughto detract from the beer.

Light, crisp mouthfeel, pleasantly effervescent.

I only had a tasting sample, but feel likethat was enough.

Reviewed from notes.

Pours a nice light golden color with a white head and some pretty good lacing. Nose brings forward a good amount of sightly spicy and floral Noble hops with some grain. The taste is straw and grain with a bit of hoppy bitterness. Light mouthfeel with good carbonation. A bit plain in the end, but is certainly easy drinking.

Had on tap tonight at The Mark....

A- Poured a golden yellow color..very clear too. One finger white head showed low retention. Light lacing on the glass that falls back into the glass.

S- Hops show upfront at first with a bitterness. Nothing over the top but just there. Some light sweet malts in the middle with a touch of veggies as well. The ending is a blend it seems like the two. Nothing big but a good smelling beer.

T- The hops come through in the front iwth a light bitterness. The malts in the this beer are a show of light and sweet. The hops in this beer come back for a bitter bite to the end with a light floral hint to it. A nice tasting pilsner that hit the spot style wise.

M- Light mouthfeel. Carbonation is good for the beer. Light malts left on the palate with a hoppy flavor in the aftertaste. Alcohol not very drying on the palate. Flavors were crisp and clean with a perfect balance.

D- This beer is highly drinkable. There flavors in this beer make it very enjoyable. The ABV makes this beer almost sessionable. Upland seems a hit and miss for me but this one hit dead on.

On draft at the Indie taproom.

Smells like bread and veggies. The malt is classic European pils but the hops are straight up American.

Tastes very bready, starts off like sweet crackers and grapenuts. Gets dryer and more bitter near the middle, as the hops kick in all sharp and weedy

Smells and tastes a lot more like a prohibition-era American pils than Czech--there isn't even a hint of nobel hops. Still, it's great for what it is, kind of like drinking a bowl of cereal.

On tap at upland

A: The color of straw made it into the glass, small head little retention.

S: Sweet, mildly fruity

T: Tastes ok to not really very good, biscuity bread, and just not a good sweet flavor as compared to the smell.

M: It's light and it's smooth, but it's just very similar to the feeling one gets from bud light, i know it's a thinner bodied beer, but I don't like the feel

D: Won't have it again, but easily a pint or two could be enjoyed if you like it.

served in a pint glass on site.

A - a good deeper than usual straw colour, which is made darker by the turbidity. one finger white head. nothing exceptional, but this time the didn't mess anything really obvious up.

S - a very simple smell: strong hops and a light kiss of malts. the hops are very bitter, not floral or grassy, just kind of bitter. the beer only offers these two notes up for smelling, quite simple but not bad. about a 3:2 ratio of hops to malts. malt character is savory and sweet.

T - a bit fruity, hoppy and malty. not too much of any single one. the initial taste is hoppy with sweet, almost a nutty king of tangy malts. finish is a slightly sweet malty flavour, with a larger portion the flavour going to the hop bitterness. this is not to say the brew is overly bitter, just the majority of the light taste is hoppy. aftertaste is a simple bitter hop sensation, minimal malts.

MF&D - pretty average, both are good. carbonation a a tad bit too aggressive.
