Poured roughly around 12 ounces from a fresh october '12 bottled 22oz bomber into a pitcher glass. Almost no head. None at all. Looked like an amber colored brazen liquid. Extremely clear and transparent. Very few bubbles. No trace of lacing whatsoever.
Smell is somewhat mild for an imperial IPA. Gentle citrus hops with floral nose ending with some malt. Just a tad of alcohol is felt.
Taste is much better and more likable than nose. Very resinous and hoppy upfront. Not a lot of bitterness which seems to be balanced by malts. In fact, this is no bitterness for a double. Goes down fairly easily with an accompanying sensation of alcohol and hops.
Mouth feel: Very oily, smooth and refreshing (if you like IPAs). Medium bodied feel. 'Total' lack of carbonation makes for an easy drinking, although warmth and intensity of alcohol makes it less likely that i will finish the bomber. Take time and drink it enjoying every little sip.
Its alcohol strength makes it rise in points. Style will get a 4 and from a more personal front, again a 4.

Sampled on tap at the Upland pub in Bloomington, IN on a bright, sunny Spring afternoon.
Rich amber in color, poured into an Upland goblet. Lace present but minimal.
Lovely floral citrus aroma.
Taste is strong, and heavy on the bitter side but enjoyable. Notes of pine and citrus are most prominent. Very enjoyable, and although this is a heavy beer, I find it tastier than the regular Dragonfly IPA. Solid.

A. Appearance was almost a clear, deep amber/orange tint. Small head and decently lacy.
S. smell was the best thing about this beer. Strong citrus smell. Bitter edge.
T. Started out with a Carmel malt taste, followed by a very hoppy bitterness. Tasted more like an ipa than a double.
M. Full bodied. Leaves a strong taste on the pallet. Had to drink a water following.
Overall a good beer. Local brew and I decided to try it out for the evening. Would revisit this beer.
