Coworker told me that this was strangest name for a beer he'd ever heard and I was intrigued.

A - Deep black color, like the label it is dark and scary. Khaki colored head with almost no lacing.

S - Strong roasty aroma with burnt tones and a dark cocoa that is predominant. There is some alcohol and a light coffee tone after the roasted notes.

T - Very similar to the smell this beer with the dark cocoa bitter flavor at the front. It seems somewhat muddled and has a burnt chocolate that fills the palate. There is a sweet roasty character that is secondary and has some light coffee tones that compliment. It's good but it seems that the roasted chocolate, burnt character is the most predominant flavor.
.
M - Moderate mouth-feel. Light carbonation. I have no complaints about the body of the beer it isn't cloying and is drinkable if you like the burnt cocoa flavor.

Overall, this is an okay imperial stout. I wouldn't seek this out again and I was disappointed by the lack of diversity. I know that someone else may taste the complexities and like the cocoa flavor but it isn't my favorite. I would suggest you spend your money elsewhere like on an Old Rasputin or if you can find it a delicious Ten Fidy. However, if you are as intrigued as I was by the novelty of the beer it isn't a bad beer.
