Batch #5

Pours a delicious orange color with a head that rises and falls quickly.

Smell up front was great, but the more it sat and opened up the better it got. Plenty of that Upland acid and funk, but as it warmed so much fruit and minerals came through. Lots of stone fruit, plenty of crushed stone, rich earth and tannic barrel compliment the amount of funk.

Same goes for the flavor.

Mouthfeel is medium-medium plus with nice crisp carbonation and a faint sweetness on the finish.

I absolutely loved this beer, and while I haven't been a fan of the other Uplands I have had, this one vaulted to the top of the sours I have had so far. On par with Duck-Duck-Gooze.
