It's nice to have the full selection of their beers available--not just what they're currently bottling. Also, nothing like a fresh beer straight from the brewery.

The atmosphere of this place is pretty neat; I love the copper pipe housing all of the tap lines and coming down from the ceiling. The menu selection is quite good, and I'm a huge fun of their buffalo burgers. The service is usually quite good, and the staff does a great job on weekends when it gets busy.

Within the "service" category, I'd also mention that they give brewery tours every Saturday and Sunday, and the last time my fiancee and I went on one, it was only the two of us and another guy. Still, the tour lasted for quite a while and the tour guide was quite knowledgeable--we even had a nice discussion about the Bell's issues in Chicago, as well as Stone's trouble in getting into the Chicago market. (881 characters)

Very nice, clean, large, open brewpub. Light years nicer than the Indy tasting room.
Food was great. Good selection and quality stuff.
Service was just ok. Waited a bit to place an order and to have the waitress come by again. They delivered our food to the table behind us at first. Those folks (for some reason) didn't immediately send it back and rather had the waitress come back to take it away a minute later. We watched the waitress carry the plates back to the kitchen and then immediately pop out again with them and carried them to our table. (552 characters)

Food was good, beer was good, and restaurant layout was pretty cool. The waiter we had was very accommodating, considering we had our infant with us. I definitely recommend this place. (184 characters)

Knock, knock!

Who's there?

The 21st century.

The 21st century who?

Exactly.

Formulaic design and decor. Screams corporate 90's schtick. The place is so clean as if all personality and flair has been sterilized into submission.

The crew working here probably could not be less interested in being around. Every single one of them I came across acted as if they hadn't been laid in at least a year. No ownership or concern or care about anything, it seemed. They are all here to have a job, make some money, and get the heck on out. I carried out 4 cases of beer, 1 at a time, on my own. Classy. Real classy.

Available beer was all standard offerings. Nothing interesting or weird that I didn't find in bottle shops.

Food was "eh." My steak came out raw in sections (not rare). I was never asked how I wanted it cooked or how I wanted my eggs done. Maybe I missed something. Ate it anyways.

Totally lame and boring spot. You come and spend $1,000 to buy a bunch of sour beers and it doesn't seem to mean anything to anyone. Very much that they are doing you a favor. Who needs it.

Kiss my ass, Upland. You're lame. (1,123 characters)

Rolled in on an insanely busy Saturday afternoon, just as the town was thawing out from a previous snowstorm, and bracing for another. Was told the wait for a table was 30 minutes (not bad), but found a place at the bar instead (luckily). The flight is seven half-pints for a ridiculously cheap price -- under $10.

Food was excellent, though service was a bit slow (see above). We also needed special assistance purchasing bottles as a proxy, and another person behind the bar was extremely competent and helpful.

Bottles are available of most of the beers on tap, and growler fills are also available.

We also signed up in advance for a sour brewery tour, which was very enjoyable, despite the small setup. (710 characters)

Visited 10/26/14 to pick up sour lottery beers and have a few samples and some lunch. Place was crowded 30 minutes after opening, but it was a beautiful Sunday. A simple pick up of 20 sour bottles turned into a 45-minute adventure as no one was sure who was supposed to handle that job.

Had a sample flight of all the yearly on-tap brews and an order of spicy chicken nachos. The waitress brought glasses of water that had flakes of cleaning chemical floating in them which had to be replaced and the nachos weren't overly impressive.
The beers, however, were another matter. They were all sensational. Not a bad one in the bunch.

Overall, the staff definitely needs improvement but the most important thing- the beer was fantastic.

SECOND VISIT 2/24/15. What a difference this time. Once again, I was out to pick up sour lottery beers and everything couldn't have gone any smoother. The service was excellent and our bottle pick-up was handled so fast I couldn't finish my second pint. Since our bottle order was so large the brewery staff helped load it and the GM hooked us up with some really cool Upland swag. Thanks again, Angela!

I'm sure I'll be back at some point for some more sour beers. Love this place. (1,231 characters)
