had seen this place for ages but never entered because of the name and because it looked like some strange Oregon version of the Outback Steakhouse from outside. Went in today and was pleasantlly surprised many micros on tap..including hard to find ones like Rogues Johns Locker Black Brutal, Terminal IPA and the more familiar NW and Alaskan micros. Bar staff were excellent, very nice and friendly. Nice atmosphere, and the food was good too. I got a real bargain on my pints , only $2.75 for the Black Brutal and the Terminal..that prices are from 2-6 pm weekdays.

I've been to Wanker's twice now, so I feel that I can give it a reasonable review. One occasion was during mid-evening, around 7pm or so. The establishment had a decent crowd going for the time. The other visit was during lunchtime. It was noticeably quieter, but still not a ghost town.

The bar has a kind of steak-and-potatoes type of feel, fairly "American". Which isn't a criticism, just an observation. Funny beer and/or liquor-related signs and coasters cover the walls, and there is a least one pool/billiards table. There's also a patio area, which isn't huge, but isn't intimate either. I'd actually highly recommend the patio for lunch, assuming the weather is nice.

The food is your typical American pub fare...burgers, fries, chips & salsa, nachos, etc. But I believe that they do have things like steaks and salads available. Their menu is on their website, and appears to be up-to-date. The food that I've had there hasn't been bad at all, but it hasn't been fantastic either. Just food at decent prices.

The beer selection is actually pretty decent. They have the standard domestics cereal grain lagers, but also have craft brews. Like many establishments in this state, they carry a good portion of local brews, including microbrews. They have them scattered about the bar, but I probably saw about 12 or so taps, many of which I had to squint at to read the name, as I was unfamiliar with them. This is always a good quality in my book, as I love tasting something new AND local. Sadly, they do not have a beer menu. I'm not sure why...perhaps they change their selection too often to warrant the printouts. In any case, the selection is still quite good.

They location is very good. I've never had to park there, so I can't speak for their parking, but they are located right off of a main road, so they're hard to miss. They're also on the SMART route, which is smart. Teehee.

Definitely check the place out. It's worth a couple of visits, even just to get a feel for the place and to check out their beer selection.
