A 500ml bottle with a BB of Dec 2010, so it's a little past it's use-by date. Acquired cheaply from my favourite beer shop.
Poured into a Guinness pint glass. A hazy pale golden hue with good carbonation. Visible sediment upon pouring, although the label states that this beer has been cold-filtered. A good head of white foam that lasts for several minutes before subsiding to a surface layer. Aroma of sweet pale malt with floral hops and notes of citrus.
Tastes of light malt with a nicely judged bitter finish. Lots of aromatic hops with dominant citrus and pine notes. Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly, leaving the palate dry. Aftertaste of aromatic hops.
Lovely - a fantastic pale ale with great hoppy flavours. Perhaps not one for traditionalists, but I like it. Well worth your time....
