look: 3.5 | smell: 3 | taste: 2.5 | feel: 2 | overall: 3

Appearance: clear, brown body, nicely retained 1/4" cream-colored head.
Aroma: slightly sweet and caramelly, but largely dry, offering no further flavors to the olfactories.
Taste: quite smooth, too much so. Very light in body, feeling remarkably hollow, with a tinny thinness that doesn't sit well with me. Little finish, little flavor...one of the small numbers of TH brews that has disappointed me. I like that they're experimenting with different historical styles, but this beer just is not necessary. I'm unsure who it's meant for, that type of drinker simply doesn't spend time at a place like this.

Serving glass: Poured from nitro-tap into pint glass.

Appearance: Dark reddish-brown with nitro head.

Smell: Not much. Some light dry (almost sour) malt, with a definite "beer" smell.

Taste: Pleasant but similar to smell, in that there is not much there except light dry malts that are borderline sour. I have had a couple other Milds and they have more taste; this is like a nitro Bitter, but they forgot the hops and bitterness. Also, it has a "beer" aftertaste - an hour later, I felt like I had had a light macro.

Feel: Light body with moderate carbonation from the nitro.

Drinkability: Yeah, it's easy to drink but may not be worth it. Besides for the appearance, I think the nitro ruined this beer. This should be a cask beer; if I see it as such, I will re-review.

Well, I guess this one is supposed to be mild, but I think it may be a little too mild. Starts out nicely enough with an above average appearance. Dark brown with a creamy head. Aroma is not very strong but roasty aromas and caramel are there. Taste ... eh, it was a little roasty and a little malty but very mild and no substantial hops. The main issue is how thin this beer tastes in your mouth, but it is very easy to drink.

When at Town Hall, it is hard to pick this one over any of their other excellent beers.

Recommended by someone I was talking to at Great Waters, thought it would be interesting to compare to Great Waters Mississippi Mild...

Medium brown appearance, sligh off-white head of 1/4 inch and scant lacing properties. Cloudyish from a nitro pour. A little hard to get an aroma profile, slight malt sense. Flavor is a medium caramel, just slightly buttery but in a reserved and thin manner. Hops are practically non-existant. The slight diacetyl and smooth finish, without excessive carbonation, are what make this beer. Could use a better flowery hop balance. Not very flavorful but more fun than Hefes and Pilsners to me -- I like a revival of Mild and well-made Bitter styles. Not a lot of impact, but pleasant and drinkable to a fan of UK style ordinary Ales. But I do prefer the cask Mississipi Mild...

This one was a nitro-tap, so it came with a nice creamy off-white head. It was a deep brown color, and left a bit of lacing when sipped down. The aroma was light, and of semi-sweet caramel malts and a tad bit of roastiness. Didn't get any hop aroma at all. The flavor was light in every aspect. Had a light caramel malt flavor with a barely noticible roastiness. Again the hops were under utilized. It was light of course and easy drinking. They really should have brought more flavor forth in this one, not overly impressed.

A - This one pours a slightly clear bronze color to it. A creamy head that sticks around.

S - This is a very sweet beer and the sweet maltiness definatly comes through. You notice hints of caramel and mild hops.

T - First off this is a very smooth beer and light bodied. The sweetness of the beer gives off hints of caramel and roasted malts.

M - Slightly crispy with a small carbonation sting.

D - This one goes down easy and you definatly see why they called it Minnesota Mild. But maybe next time they should shoot for Minnesota Wild. Overal a decent beer but nothing that sticks out.

Beer gives a tarnished bronze look. Slightly hazed. Big creamy off white head. Great retention and lace abilities. This beer is velvety smooth and creamy. Light-medium in body and silky smooth. Great taste for a dark mild. As the brewers describe: "tootsie roll in a glass." And I have to concur. This has some very nice caramel and chocolate tones. For such a "mild" beer, it packs a lot of flavor. And the drinkability is a given. I don't think my pint lasted more than 5 minutes. Let's give the Town Hall credit for making flavorful low alcohol "session" beers properly.
