2004 anniversary from Town Hall.From a growler.
WOW! I liked this a lot when first tasted at the brewpub, but it goes well beyond that when tasted in a calm reflective moment.
The aroma of this ale is awsome, malty, hoppy, deep and complex. The brew is a beautiful mahogany, the envy of any woodworker.the head is a lovely off-white which lasts throughout and leaves a fine lace on tthe glass.

Taste and believe.Caramel and toffee, chocolate? The hops are divine, earthy and full with just enough of what I call high hops, vibrant and fresh.Such balance is so rare in a beer.Im just amazed. The aftertaste lingers long yet gently just begging for another sip.
Once again WOW!!

This is one fantastic beverage...Pours a hazy, walnut color I think..can't quite describe the color as it is deep orange with rich brown notes....

Nose is excellent and inviting....juicy...tobacco like...a hint of pine....very nice...seems ot have a sweeter hop aroma than their Malsa Mama..

The taste is damn near perfect....great hop flavor..some nice bitterness but not nearly as bitter as their MM....this has an earthier, more herbal hop flavor to it....leafy tobacco and cannibus...has some piney bitterness too(mainly on the finish)....much sweeter overall than MM...a very nice biscuity malt flavor adds a lot to the overall flavor....I really can't say enough good things about this..

Mouthfeel is about perfect....as is the drinkability as this is one of the best IPA's I've had...

This place has outdone itself again....what a flat-out kickass beer...wish they could brew this one year round too...This has a little more of an English feel to it, but I love it....And I keep talking like this doesn't have much hop bitterness...It certainly does, but compared to MM it is different in that respect..Great hop burps...

I'm sure a lot of you know that feeling that comes across you when you are drinking a truly special beer....kind of like when you're watching a great player like Brett Favre do his thing....after seeing the rest and then seeing (tasting) the best you truly appreciate the moment....this is one of those moments...This is one of those beers to tell the grandkids about some day...

This beer's got a deep garnet hue accented with scarlet red highlights. A good sized off-white head sits on top and sticks around for a while. The lacing is intricate and full. Aroma is big on hop resin, cannabis and pine. Pretty thick...and nice. The taste is very nice. The 2 things that really stand out to me are the raw hop resin and big bitterness. Hops also contribute some pine and citric tones. A little rind quaity. This is all sprinkled on top of a decent caramel/biscuit like malt backbone. This is a top notch IPA. Wish I would've gotten two growlers instead of one for tonight.

Murky mahogany-to-reddish color, with full froth above.
Aroma: poppitta-poppitta-POW!!!@! It's all hops, baby, piney, grapefruit, citric, bright cherries, spicy, juicy, tingly, tickling and inviting!
So, drink it, fool!
Glorious delivery on the tongue! Hugely hoppy, terrifically tasty, with excellent malt spine, but this beauty bows before the Hop God, and it is a Mighty and Powerful Lord, dispensing flavor in copious supply!
Resilient, bold, but perfectly blended, brilliantly balanced...every further swallow provides a fresh flood of palpable, even pulpy, fruit flavor (raspberries, cherries, currants, with more waiting in the wings), providing extraordinary texture and taste! A constant, hoppy kick!
Too, too bad this was such an infrequent offering!
A damned tasty IPA, as if the Masala Mama wasn't delicious enough!

Specially brewed for the Anniversary in the style of Sierra Nevada's Celebration - Color is a gorgeous cherrywood hue, opaque and solid, with a thin head of darkened cream color and lots of lace in ink blot patches. Smell is wonderful with nice floral pine and freshly so. A small amount of toasty malts in the backing. Nice whiffer of hops. Taste is wildly smooth up front with some malty richness thats lightly sweet then the hops take charge with complexing notes of pineyness of spruce needles and sap, flowers, and freshly dried notions with some super fine bitterness that lingers long. Well balanced and even bitterness and pineyness. Feel is close to full with lots of calming bite with touches of piney bitterness left on the lips lending grapefruit peels and roaming all throughout the mouth. A pleasing beer experience and a one hell of a fine drinkable IPA.
