On tap at the brewpub. Served in a shaker glass.
Appearance: Color is a hazy golden orange with a moderate amount of bubbles. About a finger of off white head which slowly settles into a thin patchy layer.
Smell: A juicy hop forward aroma with good hints of citrus fruit and malt. Citrus hop hints of grapefruit, orange, lemon, and pineapple. Some earthy hop hints of grass. Pale malt with hints of caramel, oats, grains, biscuit, cracker, and yeast. Slight hints of sugar. A pretty solid aroma.
Taste: Like it smells, a juicy and earthy hop driven taste with notes of citrus and caramel malt. Upfront presence of citrus with notes of grapefruit, orange, mango, pineapple, and lemon. Earthy hop notes of grass and pine. Backing pale malt notes of caramel, oats, grains, cracker, and yeast. Slight honey like sweet taste. A pretty good taste.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate level of carbonation. Juicy and pretty smooth. Drying finish.
Overall: A pretty solid American Pale Ale. The Oatmeal element is pretty subtle but the juicy hop profile is very good.
