On tap at the brewpub...

Clear gold, tiny bubbles swirl upward in a helix pattern. Fluffy head of delicate suds, settles in at under 1/8 of an inch in a minute. Crystalline punctuation mark lace. Delicate aroma, hint of saltine crackers. Nice Pils, attack of white bread crumb maltiness, good crisp Saaz bittering, some sense of organic grassiness and an early nuttiness that seemlessly transitions away to a clean finish. Hops are particularly well used here, lend the balance and snap that puts this beer solidly in style and makes it nicely refreshing. Excellent drinkability. Extra marks for doing a good job on a subtle style that many brewpubs avoid. This is a Town Hall sleeper that surpasses some of its bigger beers in execution.

On-tap fresh from a growler: Clear light white gold color, faint bubbles scanter to the top where a medium white, crunchy bubbled cap sits briefly before zipping away quickly leaving a firm little collaring. Minimal webby lacing sticks.

Aroma is a pleasantly clean and crisp Fruity Pebbles-like nose. Malty with a jolly rancher sweetness and a firm and largely dominant dry bread tone locking in a wheat-like fluff and open grain.

Solid flavors here, it never stops giving into a really nice mix of dryish, bready grains, and a full-on display of wheaty sweetness. Remarkable clean hop profile too. Crisp, dry, and full of steardy flavors. Where many Pilsners may come up short with body and flavor this just stands alone as one to keep around. It has a fabulous character of dry grain with a wheat bready sweetness that just never quits. From the moment it hits the lips all the way to the very nice lasting finish of touching light but noticeable hop spice, it really stands the test of time. Its a very memorable experience.

Good feel on the palate, firm, zippyish, dry, yet sweetish and smooth, well rounded and closing in on a very full body for a Pils. Great finisher too, alot of fun hoppy stuff with a coating of leafy spice helping maintain the wonderfully caressing dryness.

Drinkability is very high and very easy, gone in no time flat; a pleasure to quaff.

After 2 pints at the Pub (so odd to see the regulars with yellow beer in their glasses instead of ruby or black), I sit down with a growler.
Appearance is a clear, golden hue, big, snowy white froth on top. classic look, myriad of bubbles rising up.
Aroma, soft and lightly floral and sweet. Nice.
Taste: very round feel in the palate, enters meekly, but full of character, then gently coats the mouth and sends out silky tendrils of a tender, gracious malty flavor, delivering nothing but delight.
Light bodied, with a crisp, hoppy finish.
I'd nearly forgotten to mention that the Saaz hops are a major part of this brew's appeal, and offer consistent rewards throught the drink.
I'm normally not a lager man, but I enjoyed both of my pints, being in the mood for a lighter brew, actually, and didn't go running to Mama.
This is one they should make a permanent selection, especially since they rarely brew lagers and have none among the constant roster.
Nicely done, I again I find myself applauding Hoops, even on a style I rarely choose to drink.
In the words of a certain StuBob: "PheNOMenal!"

Clear light golden. Airy white crop of foam on top. Head has good retention and lace ability. There are nice doughy aspects on the nose. And a crisp hoppy snappiness. Slight caramel undertones. On the palate I get a nice bready malt foundation. Moravian?? Snappy Saaz accent of pepper and spice. The body of this beer is about medium and it's nicely carbonated for the style. A quaffable Pilsner.

Spicy, peppery aroma...nice clean gold color with a 1/4 white head..strong noble hop flavor...spicy...a slightly sour finish...malt flavor is hay like...overall a spicy, hoppy pilsner....some might like this more than me, but it doesn' seem very drinkable to me and to me that is key..
