Slightly cloudy golden straw in color with a slight orange hue, 1cm foamy white head. A lot of hops in the aroma right up front, citrusy with a lot of tropical notes as well, oranges, grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple to name a few. Substantial wheaty malt with the wheat giving a lemony zest. Whoop, my mouth just started watering as I am typing this.

Taste: a lot of the aromas transfer to the taste. Hoppy, with definitely a bitter edge, which is a bit unusual for a wheat beer but the flavors of the hops went so well with the zesty wheat malt. Simcoe hops in this beer make it first and foremost quite grapefruity, but again there are are tropical notes all over the place, even some bubble gum. Despite the hoppiness, the malt does to a good job of balancing it out, yeah its light and wheaty but there is an almost biscuity nature to it that provides some substance.

Overall: once in a while you find one of those beers that just does it for you, this was one of those for me. Then again you can throw simcoe hops in about anything and I will like it. This was a really creative and original beer I thought, not to mention delicious.

Appearance: Arrives at the table with a hazy honey color and a good head that sheets the pint glass with lace

Smell: Grapefruit aroma

Taste: Starts with a biscuity aspect that is quickly interrupted by a growing pink grapefruit tingle; after the swallow, the citrusy bitterness is joined by a sweet element that is also quite fruity; there is the slightest hint of wheat flavor throughout the beer that might not be noticed if it wasn't part of the beer's name

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Drinkability: This is a delightful change of pace for a wheat beer and shows off the brewer's creativity

Not sure if this is different from the wheat pale from years ago, that went by a different name, but, here we go...

Lightly cloudy, pale orange color, big, puffy, lace-leaving, gossamer white head...very nice looking.

Aroma screams hops...Cascade & Centennial, most likely...I could be wrong...probably am, but they seem like good guesses. The pine and pineapple also suggests Amarillo. Wow! A hophead's dream, clean and alert and alive, pine needles and lemon peels.

Taste: smmoth, good texture, abundant hoppy flavor, creamy mouthfeel. Medium bodied, with great bitterness buzzing the palate. And they just keep buzzing...excellent drinkability, so effortless to down.

Dang, the hops really make this such a winner!
Nothing like good, fresh, delicious, hoppy local beer!

Appearance: Deep golden. Pale. Bordering on light copper. Thick frohy crop of white head. Great retention and great lace properties.

Aroma: Great aroma. This has got the tangerine/nectarine/apricot thing going on to perfection. (Simcoe derived?? I think so.) Also get some smoky, resinous hop qualities as well.

Flavor: All around solid. Nice malty base. The spicy wheat attributes blend together nicely with the tropical nuances from the Simcoe hops (tangerine). The bitterness is not overdone, but it does linger...

Mouthfeel/Drinkability: Nicely carbonated. Easy to drink. Interesting combination, this wheat/Simcoe thing. It works. Though I find this to be more of an APA than a wheat beer tastewise. The wheat characteristics are more in the background than the hoppy pale ale characteristics. Like the beer though.
