Wooo!! New batch of saaz pilsner! This is a rotating beer and shouldn't be marked as retired.

Color is a clear golden yellow. A finger of white head with a little bit of lace.

This pilsner is nice and spiced from the saaz hops. Very earthy and floral. Some bright citrusy fruits show. Kind of grassy with a bit of bready malts. Simple yet, dynamic at the same time.

Mouthfeel: Crish and clean. Light bodied with a good amount of carbonation. Ends clean.

Overall, a very fine example of a pilsner. This beer is really easy to drink with a ton of flavor. Very hoppy, but not very bitter. Definitely worth a try!

This beer pours a clear spun gold color. The head is one inch in height, and recedes slowly into a small cap of lacing. The aroma is of spicy saaz hops, with a wonderful green hop quality to it. There is also a solid, yet delicate bready malt backbone to it. The taste is as clean and crisp as I've ever encountered is a pilsener. There is plenty of spicy hops, but the bready malt balances things out enough to keep the bitterness somewhat in check. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with lively carbonation, and a smooth texture. Overall, this is the best pilsener I have ever had. I sincerely hope the people at Town Hall continue to brew this beer on a regular basis.

Had a pint at the brewpub. I'm a fan of pilsners and single-hop beers, so this was exciting to find on the seasonals menu. This has the look and body of a classic Czech pils, but the hops dominated the beer. Aside from a hint of grainy, biscuit malt, richly floral and spicy hops that are a touch fruity without being sweet. The bitter finish is a bit soft, but still sizeable. This is tasty, but fairly drinkable beer. Check is out if you can.

Clear, pale yellow, adequate milky froth atop.

clean, zesty, slightly sweet nose...a little honeyish, meets citric hops...

Clean entering the mouth, empty and wet, easy drinking, with a persistent hoppy edge. Juicy malt body.

From notes taken on the laptop, while at the bar, something I rarely do. Great beer for the style.

Growler purchased by my honeypie Alex and consumed a few hours later.

Gorgeous pour! Sparkles like the piss of an angel, giant soapy white head. Shines in low light and high light, glows like you're holding it up to the sun even though the sun's been dead forever.

Smells nicee and balanced but otherwise unexceptional. This balance is a little surprising, seeing how this is an exceptionally hoppy pilsener, but the malt isn't as crisp and zippy as the best of the exceptional pilseners.

Tastes like an exceptional pils, though. The Saaz are HUGE, wonderfully dry and spicy, and that is balanced against a lightly weedy, bittersweet malt. You don't got a ton of complexity, but that's not the point. This is crisp, hoppy, and exceptionally drinkable.

One of the very best pils I've ever had.

Clear and bright, light sunny yellow body. Thin dirty white head. Lacing is moderate. Nice floral hop aroma with some warm bready malt tones wafting up from the beer as well. The flavor is an eye opener. I love a great tasting pils and that's exactly what this is. Sturdy malt presence with suggestions of freshly baked bread and warm biscuits right out of the oven. The Saaz adds some earthiness and spiciness and herbalness to the equation. The lagered smoothness of this beer adds another great dimension. Body is damn near full and the carbonation is perfect. Great creation. This beer, an awesome beer during any season, would even be more awesome in the summer. I think I might be loading up 3x3s a lot for the weekends at the lake....3 growlers of Dort with 3 growlers of Saaz.
