On tap at Town Hall Tap. This beer arrives an opaque black color. The head is a solid inch of brown foam that recedes slowly leaving minimal lacing. The aroma is of coconut, milk chocolate, roasted malt, and graham cracker. The taste is similar to the aroma. The mouthfeel is medium-full bodied with a silky texture, and moderate carbonation. Overall, this is a great beer. It is like drinking a Mounds bar, but better. I will make it a point of finding this beer whenever it is available.

Growler generously shared by stupac2 at a recent tasting.

A: Pours black with a finger of dark brown head that faded into a thin collar.
S: Dominant notes of coconut all the way! I get a touch of vanilla and roast as well.
T: Strong coconut and roast with hints of chocolate. This tastes a bit Almond Joy-like. The flavors are creamy and very sweet but not cloying. The aftertaste lingers and is full of dry roasted coconut.
M: Thick body, low soft carbonation and a creamy velvety mouthfeel.
O: This beer was really great. I wouldn’t want to polish off a whole growler of it as the beer is pretty sweet, but this is the best use of coconut I’ve seen in a beer yet. Very flavorful. Highly recommended.

Growler poured into a snifter. Beer poured a dark opaque through with a thin film of tan colored head. Not much head from swirling, and no lacing.

Nose was heavy on toasted coconut, roasted nuts and milk chocolate. Someone suggested Almond Joy and it was a perfect description for the aroma.

Taking a sip, the toasted coconut was dominant, though not too sweet. Some minimal milk chocolate, roasted malt, and light nuttiness struggles to make itself known mid palate, but the coconut really shines through to the finish. Lingering coconut and roasted malt on the finish, really strong flavors here.

Body was light to medium, surprisingly so for a milk stout which I though would be a bit thicker. Some decent carbonation from the growler pour, decent for a porter without being excessively bubbly. Very easy to drink and tasty if you enjoy a nice toasted coconut.

Many, many, many thanks to StormKing47 sharing this one during Stout Day 2011. Thanks Josh!

A - The beer poured a pretty deep brown, bordering on black with no light coming through...a tan head formed and stood about two fingers...it was creamy, became rocky, and stayed as a full cap...some lacing was left behind

S - And the wonderfulness begins...rich milk chocolate, sweet and toasted coconut, vanilla sweetness, roasted malts...I'm thinking of a Mounds Bar with milk chocolate

T - There is nothing different from the nose here...the chocolate is underlying because the coconut is the star, but it still adds body and pairs well with the coconut...as for the coconut, it's toasted to bring out the flavors, but it still manages to stay milk like you're eating fresh coconut...the vanilla adds more sweetness to the palate

M - Medium bodied...smooth and creamy...milky...sweet without ever being cloying

O - I would give a lot to try this one again...I would not have had a problem finishing the entire growler myself...this one is a step above Maui Coconut Porter...there was so much going right in this beer...it was sweet, milky, creamy, chocolately, coconuty, everything a Mounds Bar is...thanks again Josh!

Thanks Cam!

Pours a very dark brown with an off-white head that looks the part. Coconut fills the glass and really brings out the light chocolate flavors as well. Smells really enticing. The taste is fantastic, especially when it warms a bit. Strong coconut is well integrated into a light, slightly chocolatey stout. This has much more coconut flavor than Maui CoCoNut Porter. Delicious. The mouthfeel is disappointing - really thin and light. I think this beer would be an epic homerun if it had some of the creaminess that really brings around the style. Moderate carbonation. Overall, this beer is really fantastic that suffers from only one flaw. That said, I could absolutely drink a ton of this beer.
