From notes written last year.

Pours 1/2 finger of white head. Really nice retention with some solid lacing. Color is a clear golden yellow.

Aroma: Has a bit of spice here with some fresh earthy hops. It is a bit biscuity and malty. Very clean.

Taste: Pretty big hop presence. Earthy and piney. More spices here than in the nose. It even has a touch of citrus flavor. A ton of flavors going on in this pils. It does the bready malts as well.

Mouthfeel: Smooth and crisp. Lighter bodied with a medium amount of carbonation. Ends a little dry, but clean.

Overall, this was a pretty easy drinking beer. The alcohol wasn't really present for how high it was. Good stuff.

Had this as a part of a flight this afternoon. Very clear pale yellow in the glass, minimal head when I got it. There was a very distinct spice aroma I couldn't name, but I did smell hay, lemon and tomato believe it or not. The taste is not like the aroma, it tastes malty and thick, like an Imperial IPA. Can hardly taste the high ABV, so that makes the drinkability even higher I guess.

After visiting Town Hall yesterday I figured I needed a Valentine's Day present for myself so I brought me home a growler of this. Drank from my Stone India Pale Ale flute.

Appearance- Pours a beautifully clear orange honey yellow with a nice two finger off-white head that is exceptionally creamy. A pretty nice cap and collar is maintained along with a fair amount of sticky lacing.
Smell- Slightly fruity with a definite hop bitterness that is definitely going to bite. Perhaps a bit of peach and pineapple before the earthiness of the Noble Hops really kick in. Some lemon grass and dandelion stem are nice and noticeable and as is maybe a touch pine. A bit of honey malt and cracker hides in amongst the hoppy goodness.
Taste- Starts with a slightly doughy sweetness with just the slightest touch of grainy malt before the hops take over. They are earthy and bitter with a deep bit of grass and pine along with what is a surprising amount of citrus. Orange peel and peaches are noticeable as is a bit of lemon peel and grapefruit rind. I can't believe how fruity this brew is honestly. The alcohol isn't anywhere to be found as the finish is fairly dry and pretty darned bitter.
Mouthfeel- Nice thick body with a slick oily feel and very light carbonation. Pretty clean overall though and the finish is dry.
Drinkability- Easily the best Imperial Pilsner I've had. It's not overly bitter and fruity but isn't up in the territory of an IPA. The alcohol is incredibly well hidden and the drinkability is crazy good. F bomb I love Town Hall!

Slightly hazed regal gold body. Tightly packed dirty white head. Lacing is quite full. Aroma is fanfreakingtastic. Best smelling pils/double pils I've encountered. Doughy, cakey, yeast, bready malt aromas mingle with an incredible floral hop bouquet. Awesome. Smooth and sweet bready malt flavors fill the mouth along with some of the yellow cake yeastiness that I love in pilsners. Floral hops accent to perfection. Medium full body with a hint of alcohol spiciness. This is incredible. I can't believe this is almost 10%. I really like this one and hop it makes a return again sometime in the future.

Been sitting on this growler for almost a month...still perfect carbonation. TH does a great job with how they fill their growlers.
----

A-Deep golden color....

A-Awesome aroma...big floral presence with lemongrass very prominent....also a softer citrus dimension....ripe oranges and tangerines...maybe a little nectarine...also hints of pinneaple...maybe not spot on for a pilsner aroma but spot on for greatness....love how this smells.

T-This is all about the hops....good bitterness from the hops combine with some black pepper and a splash of alcohol to give this a real spicy and dry finish...malt backing is plenty big but still overshadowed by the hops.

M-medium to full bodied...very dry finish as noted.

D-Smells great...a little rough around the edges in spots but I guess that is to be expected when you upsize it like this. The more you drink it the more it smooths out. I'm very glad I've got a full growler of this. I would buy this again. This is a damn fine beer.
