Pint glass at the bar

A: light copper color with a half finger off-white head, crystal clear.
S: Hops, massive amount of citrus and pine hops, very American.
T: Very sharp bitterness, I don't usually taste "cat piss" in beers, but I think that some people would find that "flavor" here. A different malt profile from Masala Mama, more rounded and sweet, complements the hops very well.
M: Low level of carbonation that seems to open up the beer.
O: An excellent APA, it seems that the brewers threw financial caution to the wind with regards to hop usage, appears to be an amazing amount of late additions were used here. Great beer and <5% (according to the menu). Very recommended.

mmm... I love me some pale ales!
on tap at Minneapolis Town Hall -- reviewed from short notes

Golden body, white head, nice lace. Good retention.
Smells nicely hopped, with grassy, floral, and citrus notes.
The taste is GREAT-- just like the nose indicates, but with a nice bitter punch at the back end.
The body is good-- medium, little oily, little prickly, good carbonation.
Overall-- I would certainly buy this if it were available. It is VERY nice, and easily one of the best beers I've had from the brewery!

Served on-draught into a pilsner glass at the brewery in Minneapolis. Reviewed from notes taken around Thanksgiving.

A: Pours a half finger khaki colour head of nice thickness and cream, but bad retention. Body colour is a vibrant dark amber. No yeast particles are visible. No bubble show. Clear and translucent.

Sm: Heavy hop aroma, a bit of ammonia, definite simcoe character and emergent hop bitterness. Light toasted malt. The ammonia is a bit of a turn off. A mild strength aroma. Somewhat soapy.

T: Soapy hops (too long in primary?), some hop bitterness, lilac, traces of ammonia, and amber malts. Pleasant but imbalanced and inappropriately built. It's not bad, all around.

Mf: Soapy, unnaturally thick, smooth, and wet. Quite mellow, yet unnatural.

Dr: Drinkable but lackluster. A passable pleasant pale, but it needs work. I wouldn't have this again. Quite pedestrian.

A: Copper, with great lacing and a two-finger dying head.

S: Smells of grapefruit, candied citrus, pine and some tropical fruits.

T: Hop-forward with a great malt backbone. As I like very hoppy beers, this is a little light for me, but great for the style (as always, I reviewed to the style). An excellent intro to hop-centric beers. A little soapy and metallic in the linger (not bad though).

M: Light feel, with medium carbonation.

Served on cask at the brewery. Pours a caramelly chestnut brown color with a voluminous head on it. Nose consists of sweet grapefruit and citrus hops. Taste is similar. Starts off with caramel Malta that are overtaken by some nice floral and citrus hops. Really nice, light, but flavorful, hop profile going on here. Smooth body with decent carbonation helps his one to down. Overall, this is another winner from Town Hall. Nice lance with a solid hop profile that doesn't destroy your palate. Definitely recommended.
