A: reddish hue, lighter than most scotch ales, decent head. It's quite cloudy.
S: smells of malt and rasperry, interesting and not surprising.
T: it's interesting, yes. Great scotch ale, no. Lacks the complexity since the raspberry is overpowering, but some nice malt shines through.
M: medium body and carbonation.
O: decent brew, not sure why it's a scotch ale though. There's some complexity in there, but the raspberry is the biggest part of the beer.

Had this on 2011-11-18 at the brewery (from tasting notes)
A - Cloudy, reddish-brown with a 1-finger tan head and mild lacing.
S - Mostly raspberry, which I found quite appealing. Some caramel and roasted malt.
M - Tons of raspberry puress. More than enough. Too fruity and sweet. Scotch ale lurks underneath but the raspberry sweetness lingers. The cherry wee heavy as the Town Hall Tap was MUCH better.
T - Medium-heavy body and light carbonation. Syrupy but not thick.
O - Too much raspberry. Not subtle at all.

Pink brown, hazy, good retention and lacing. Lush, ripe raspberries in the aroma that dominate the base beer and I am not complaining!! Plenty of flavors without too much sweetness. The scotch ale component manifests itself only in the slight roast at the finish. I like this beer!
