Pours a little head. Color is a caramel bronze orange.

Aroma: Coconut and caramel. Bananas, oranges, cloves, bourbon, oak, vanilla, molasses, and dark fruits.

Taste: Dark fruits, plums, molasses, cloves, bananas, oak, bourbon, toffee, and caramel.

Mouthfeel: Smooth and warming. Medium bodied with a low to medium amount of carbonation. Ends dry and clean.

Overall, a solid brew. I really liked the nose on this one. Kind of drank like a fresh old ale but with barrel flavors. Very well done.

On tap at the brewpub. Served in a Town Hall chalice glass.

Appearance: Color is a deep dark brownish amber orange with a moderate amount of bubbles. Solid three fingers of off white head with good retention. Leaves a good amount of lacing around the glass.

Smell: A whiskey barrel forward aroma with solid hints of sweet caramel and fruit undertones. Big hints of bourbon whiskey upfront with some vanilla, oak, and wood. Toasted bready malts with hints of sweet caramel, toffee, biscuit, yeast, and wheat grains. Some candied burnt sugars along with a slight hint of cloves and pepper. Hints of banana and apple as well as some dark fruit hints of fig, prune, plum, raisin, and dark cherry. Hop scent is very light. Very good aroma.

Taste: Follows the nose pretty well, big taste of the bourbon barrel with lots of caramel malt and fruits. Big bourbon barrel taste throughout with notes of oak chip, vanilla, and wood. Sweet toasted malts with notes of caramel, toffee, yeast, biscuit, and wheat grains. Some brown sugar and candied sugar. Notes of banana and apple fruits along with some dark prune, fig, plum, cherry, and raisin. Light presence of earthy hops in the back end. The bourbon notes blend nicely with the malts. A very good taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with a moderate amount of carbonation. Creamy and somewhat chewy and syrupy. A little booze heat is felt.

Overall: A very good bourbon barrel aged version of a Weizenbock. Nice creamy notes of bourbon, caramel malt, and fruit.

A hazy dark beige body with an off white head. Scattered spots of lace.

The bourbon is front and center in the nose with vanilla and oak. Some light bready notes is about all that's left of the base.

The bock shows up more in the flavor with a light tart apple, banana, and bread pudding. Then back to the bourbon, which is long in the finish.

I was quite impressed by the way this lower abv, lighter bodied beer held up
to the barrel aging. It's a medium body, but relatively lighter than most bba. Smooth.

The bourbon really dominates and I would have liked to have experienced more of the bock, but still a very good drink.

Thanks, David.

Muddy dark amber body capped by two fingers of head. Solid head retention and lacing. Smells strongly of red apples, whiskey and oak. A little yeasty and hot, not overly complex. Palate has banana and red apple, oak and whiskey. Surprisingly, this has pretty harmonious flavors, and the barrel doesn't completely dominate the base beer. Body is about medium, decently hefty for the ABV. Solid stuff for what it is.

Poured on tap at The bottle release day.

Pours a nice hazy dark amber color, nice 1mm head quickly resting to a thin ring, mild lacing, consistently murky

Smells of slight banana, some bourbon, a cherry almost sherry smell, red grapes, a little red wine, and wonderful boozy hints.

Tastes of wonderful sweet booze, sweet bourbon, cherries, floral and sweet sugar finish

Medium thick body, medium low carbonation, nice tingle of the booze, mildly hot,

This is very nice beer. Sweet and boozy! It is wonderful if you like a hotter feeling beer. And for me, I love the bourbon in this. Is does lose some of the traditional fastest with this style, but man is it a beautiful finished product.

Pours a hazed brown color with an off-white head. Really nice bourbon aroma, plenty of oak and vanilla, and a hint of chocolate. Mild oxidation, lots of caramel and toffee, maybe a bit of brown sugar. The flavor is sweet bourbon, vanilla, and caramel malts. Brown sugar, oak, and a mild fruitiness in the background. The barrel really drowns out most of the base beer.
