Had on tap on Town Hall. Review from notes.
A: Pours a copper/amber copper color with a small white head on top, nice retention and thin lacing.
S: Not surprisingly, very citrus forward with some tropical fruit and grapefruit. A bit of grass with faint caramel.
T: Again more citrus with a little zest. Orange, grapefruit, pineapple, and a bit of lemon. Faint grainy malt and a touch of caramel.
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Pretty easy drinking.
O: Pretty good pale ale, not as good as some of the other beers I had while at TH, but easy drinking.

Clear copper body with an sturdy khaki head. Lacing, as usual with TH, is quite full...web like and droopy. This is a beer I could smell for a while. Very, very nice aroma. Tropical with wafts of tangerine and orange. Citrus and some nice resin oily stuff too. Flavor hits you in the face with hops. Tangerine/nectarine with some orange marmalade as well. A little bit of that nice pungent, oily hop contribution as well that I like. Malt base is sturdy enough to support the hops, but it's not the star of the show, nor should it be. Citra is a wonderful hop when utilized properly. Sufficed to say, it is in this beer. Moderately carbonated and medium bodied. This is a good drinker. High quality stuff.

I've had two growlers of this over the past two weeks - one before the November 5th 'best-before' and one after. Served in a variety of receptacles: taster pint, tulip, and pint glass. Thanks to eawolff99 for the growler as well as Todd for sharing another growler.
A - Generous off-white foam settles to a thin cap, thicker collar, and a few specks of lace. Transparent amber body - definitely more strong ale than pale ale here.
S - Compared with the other single hop pale ales I've had from Town Hall, this one is noticeably balanced, with a blend of fresh citrus pulp, tropical fruits, red berries, and brown sugar. Very sweet, with nearly no zest or pine sharpness to the hop aroma. Pleasant, but lacks the definition of something like Zombie Dust.
T - The taste has a bit more herbal hop presence, with a hint of onion and citrus rind mixed among the juicy orange pulp, tropical fruits, sugary malts, and light caramel. Bitterness eventually shows up, but it's pretty mild; Citra is a pretty low-IBU hop. I liked the taste a tad better than the aroma, but the finish was a bit off somehow.
M - Medium bodied, with a juicy texture, moderate carbonation, and a sticky finish. Again, there's more malt heft and chewiness than I was expecting. There's the faintest alcohol warmth, but nothing beyond the listed ABV.
D - While still a pretty good beer, I unfortunately found this to a be a disappointment. Previous single hop Town Halls have been, perhaps comically, hop-foward and I was, perhaps unfairly, expecting more of the same. The term strong is definitely accurate; there's more heft and malt than your typical pale ale and while it integrates well with the Citra hop flavors, the lack of zest and bitterness is oddly disconcerting. If you like sweet fruits and minimal bitterness, this is the pale ale for you. Pretty easy to drink, but not something I'd actively seek out again.

Enjoyed draft at 2012 Autumn Brew Review, from notes.
An American strong pale ale, pour was light orange with a billowing white head that had excellent retention and lace. Very pretty.
Smell was loads of hoppy fruit, oranges, grapefruit, mango, papaya. Very inviting.
Taste unloaded torrents of lucious juicy Citra hop flavor. Ripe fruit, orange, grapefruit, papaya, pineapple and loads of mango. Very mild malt background beautifully restrains bitterness to a medium level. Mouthfeel is medium to light, well carbonated. Thus is a highly drinkable, delicious nectar. This is what the Citra hop is all about. Nicely done. Anxiously waiting growler sales.
