Town Hall Brewery is located on the West Bank area of the U of MN, within walking distance of the Metrodome. Ample parking on an adjacent parking ramp. The room itself appears to be modeled to service both those that like to belly up to the bar, and those that prefer a table. Each time I have been here, the crowd seems to be a good mixture of from all walks of life, which is a bonus. When weather permits, a patio area is open on the sidewalk in front.

The beers themselves are sensational. The Masala Mama IPA is consistently ranked in the Top 20 of all beers on the BA website, with good reason. Delicious, and almost always served on cask here. Town Hall has a wide variety of other selections (oatmeal stouts, Scotch ales, etc) and seasonals at all times. A few lighter selections are also always on tap as well. This helps if you are with BMC friends, the wait staff can usually find a selection that will statify them as well. Town Hall always has interesting guest beers, such as Hopslam, so more bonus points there.

The service is more often than not exceptional. If the bar isn't busy, you can usually strike an intelligent beer conversation with the beertenders, as they seem to share the same passion for tasty beer most BAs do.

Food is mostly average pub fare, never have had anything of poor quality. To be honest, the food is good, but you are not here for the food anyway. right?

Overall, hands-down the best brewpub I have been to in the Twin Cities. A definite must-visit for the BA traveler while in the Twin Cities.

They make their own beer and it is usually quite good. They also have several guest taps and have a selection of up to 10 ciders on tap that usually include a few that you can not find anywhere else in the area. The food is good.
