We hit Great Waters after catching a Wild game at the Xcel Center. Nice bar area, but a bit "echo-y" with all hard surfaces. It can be hard to hear people at your own table when it is busy. Service left a little to be desired - quite slow after taking about ten minutes for someone to take our initial drink orders.
Beer quality and selection were pretty good. I had the Tesla's Coil IPA and the stout, both were tasty and true to style. My fiance had a couple of the Winter Solstice Ale and liked it quite a bit.
We had an order of the nachos, they were not the best we've had. Our friends enjoyed their cheesecake very much. Previous visits have taught us the burgers are pretty good here too.
The beer is the draw so we will likely go back to Great Waters when we have occasion to be in downtown St. Paul.

Great Waters Brewing was located in the heart of St. Paul in an old building on an old square. Inside the building was old school industrial feel with nice tables as well as outdoor seating. The quality of the food was ok....the beer was quite good. The service was great and to kick things off my six year old spilled chocolate milk everywhere and our server handled it like a champ! The selection for food and beer was outstanding. The food was good to borderline great. Some of the items were great and others not so much. The value was good.
