Choice city is doing it right. The brunch at this place will change your life. The food is some of the best in town and I love the small atmosphere inside. This can lead to a wait from time to time but it normally proves to be worth it. They always have a great selection of beers and just recently they had Plinly the Younger on tap! If you're in Fort Collins and want to find some rare hard to find beers this is the place for you.

If you're visiting FC this is a must-visit spot. A solid beer list and an awesome menu--don't be disappointed that the sides are kinda lame, the burgers, sandwiches, and entrees all stand on their own. Get the Colorado Ruben (half is enough, don't worry) and something dark to drink and you'll be happy.

Always something phenomenal on tap at Choice City. Rares, Whales, and New beers abound. A great place to find something new and maybe run into an old favorite that you just can't find anywhere else. From Pliny the Younger to BA Yeti and Crooked Stave rares, I've seen it all here. It never disappoints.

- I have been here on many occasions to which I can always find a good pint. The food is ok, pretty utilitarian but beer is great. Atmosphere is a bit distracting, cluttered, and uncomfortable. Servers are nice and mostly knowledgeable. Yet again you can always count on something to catch your eye in the beer department.

Friendly, knowledgeable servers. Nice outdoor seating area. Good selection of beers that are sometimes hard to find other places. Reasonable beer prices- usually $6 per pint. Almost all beers- even high ABV are sold in pints. Food is marginal and there have been some dicey health inspection reports on Choice City in the local newspaper. Very slow service. You stand in one line to order food and another line to order beers and to pay. I usually get one beer and leave because of the ridiculous waiting in multiple lines.

Big open space with plenty of tables, service was absolute crap. Went for lunch. There was one other small group of people there and no one else and the guy seems liked I was inconveniencing him which I just can't stand.

It's cool that they have local and above average beers on tap. Just had one. Food was pretty above average (after they got my order right the second time).

Price was a bit much for a sandwich. Wouldn't go back just based on the crappy attitude of the servers and food prep employees.

A cool place to grab some (unhealthy) quality food and along with some quality beer. Great combo of quality food and drink here. The service is spotty; first time I was there was during their Thursday/Friday/Saturday dinner and the server was quite good and had something to offer with her recommendations. She was also more than willing to offer free samples of a beer to check out. Check. The other times were during regular hours and the workers were far less knowledgeable and had a hard teem even trying to explain what some of their beers were. Same deal with the food as well. Overall, though, I dig the place. Definitely screams mom and pop local joint, with a nice casual environment.

This was the first place I stopped on a recent trip to Fort Collins, looking to grab some good lunch and a beer. The place was packed out, but a table opened up as we were waiting for our food. The menu offers some unique twists on old classics plus standard deli fare. I had the bison reuben with some kettle chips, which was really awesome. The beer selection is nice too. You can tell these guys know and care about good beer. I had a Bruery Saison de Lente from the tap, which was a nice find and perfect for an early spring afternoon. Definitely a good place to stop and fill up before heading down the street to Odell or New Belgium to fill your belly up with awesome beer.

Great place you have to visit while in Ft. Collins! Sat at the small bar staring at a awesome wall of taps. Sours, stouts,IPAs they even scored PtY earlier in the year. KUDO's on that!!!! There's also a small selection of bottles from the local brewery's that can be bought. The help were friendly and knowledgable and the food was incredible, also tables outside for those nice days and warm nites. Lucky for us we were able to meet the owner and trade/share some bottles from his hidden valt!!!! THANKS "Places like this are made for searching out.."

Such a great place. I always take my out of town friends here for a sandwich and drinks. A great Friday afternoon spot. Unassuming and comfortable. You're greeted with a deli counter and a tap wall. Hardwood floors and wobbling tables. Look closer and you discover delicious cold cuts, fine cheeses, burgers, and first rate beer. Not much else you could ask for. They always seem to have the freshest Firestone Walker selections this side of the Sierra's. And there's always a surprise rare or two on tap. Make sure to order your sandwich grilled.

Stopped here because it was rated in the top beer bars across the US. When I walked in, I wondered if I was in the right place. Having been to Ebenezer's and other top bars, this place just didn't seem right. It was chaotic and seemed more like a Starbucks than a quality beer bar. However...I was in fact in the right place. I waited in line to order my salad and then waited in the other line to pay (what?) and get my beer. I am not sure if they got an infected batch of brew, but my beer from Equinox did not taste right at all. This was confirmed for me later when I drank the brew straight from the source at Equinox and it was phenomenal. My salad came up and it was pretty sub-par. Considering how people raved about the food, I was vastly disappointed. I only drank the one brew and then my husband and I left for Equinox. Service was pretty much "serve yourself" and the atmosphere was exactly like I described...it reminded me of a Starbucks. Very much a college crowd.

Selection was fair, but I have seen FAR better selections. This was nothing amazing, especially given the beer scene in this general area. Mayor of Old Town has 100 taps...if you want a real selection, head there. I am glad that I stopped in for the experience, but I would certainly not pay this place another visit.

Friendly atomosphere, but a bit cramped for space. Its popularity keeps it crowded, but the staff keeps the line moving fast. I had a few sliders for a buck a piece. You can't beat that. They were sausage sliders, homemade from scratch. Awesome stuff. They were hosting a Firestone Walker kickoff event and had plenty of their beers, plus about 20 others on a list. We sat outside and it was nice. The service was quick, especially considering such a big crowd. Teh selection was great, and the food was awesome and absolutely reasonable. The quality was top notch and goes along with the selection of beer which was only top quality breweries.

Wow, what a dump. Maybe this place cuts it for local yokels, but not for me. No bar, no service, just kind of a free-for-all where you order your food at one place and your beer from the cashier. Atmosphere was just lame all over, with terrible clientele, and chaotic general operations, cheap rickety tables and stuff--not in a rustic "we're gritty and throwbackish" way, but in a cheap-out "we suck, give us your money" way. Layout was, well, basically a deli, as would be imagined. A selection of meats and whatnot, with a long but basic menu posted on the wall.

Beer selection was decent. The tap list wasn't too impressive; they had a slightly better bottle selection, including some stuff that's uncommon but not necessarily hard to find, considering many local micros are within a few miles driving and/or walking distance. Food was presented good, all said and done, but it was not that good quality overall. I had a sub-par / pink sludge burger and the wife had a salad that she ended up picking half apart because of the ingredients.

Service was lousy: the cashier/waitress was nice enough, but was left all alone to tend to the small rush of customers, meanwhile pouring beers incorrectly, and not properly filled, into incorrect glassware. No one there really knew what they were doing and they didn't display any knowledge about the beer served...just no.

This wasn't a good place, and to advertise it as #9 on the list of best "bars" in the world? I've been to Ebenezer's and to put this place anywhere within 500 spots is just disgraceful. I've been to dives way better than this place. And delis for that matter.

Definitely to be avoided. Do yourself a favor and go to Mayor of Old Town, just a few blocks away, where they have 100 beers on tap, good food, and an incredibly nicer atmosphere. Or get food somewhere and go to Equinox. Nothing choice about Choice City.

This place was incredible. They had their own cellar with a very impressive list. 2002 la folie 1986 harvest...the list goes on. The food was as fresh as you can get. I think I saw the pig that I ate get hauled off in the back. They had a great selection of both beers and food. They serve the brews in style specific glassware and they were knowledgeable on both meat and brews which is a rare thing. Pricing was reasonable for what you got. They have everything from cold cuts to awesome hot sandwhichs. It seemed like this was the place to be for lunch. Can't wait to go back.

Choice City was my first stop on the return trip through Colorado, and easily one of my favorites from the entire trip

located just off the main drag of downtown Ft. Collins, the shop has an atmosphere a bit like a coffee shop, but with a diverse selection of fantastic sandwiches and burgers and a great beer list - love coffee shops so that vibe sits well with me, note that this was a lunch stop - the breakfast menu is impressive, and dinner features a pretty intense selection of steaks from various species (ostrich, pork, buffalo, beef...)

the menu is written on a couple large blackboards, rustic worn hardwood floors, meats displayed in the counter cold cases, wooden tables and a bar across one of the large storefront windows affording a nice street view, lots of natural light, taphandles on display, steady lunch crowd but not too busy, very nice kids working and good music at a good level, a great place for a comfortable afternoon stop

the selection was very deep and eclectic, maybe twenty or so at the time, lots of locals and some quality belgians, some notables - Russian River Supplication, an obscure New Belgium one-off, a couple from Funkwerks - just the tip of the iceberg here, various pour sizes available and proper glassware in use

regarding the food side of the situation, this is a real-deal butcher shop with great cured meats and cheeses, after much internal deliberation (awkward staring at the menu), my choice was a Colorado buffalo reuben - probably the best I've had anywhere, the meat was perfect, the bread delicious, cheesy but not greasy, and the balsamic potato salad awesome, even better paired with a Supplication, don't even recall what was paid, but value is high given the goods received

a "must stop", in my opinion

I have been living in the general Ft. Collins area for almost 2 years now and had not heard about this place. I just happened to stop in one day with a friend and I walked away impressed. The food here is amazing. It is a slight bit pricey, but I usually am fine with paying whatever prices for food. It's nothing fancy, burgers and sandwiches mostly. You can also get cheese platters or meat/cheese combo platters. They serve breakfast also, but I have only ever been there for lunch, so I can not comment on their breakfast selection.

The beer selection is quite good in my opinion. They have beer on tap you can't find anywhere else in Old Town (to my knowledge). The bottle selection is decent too. Myself and a couple friends got a bottle of 2002 La Folie here, so you can find some interesting beer here. I will always take quality of quantity so even if they don't have as many taps as some people would like, the quality of beer offered is above pretty much anyone else in town.

The staff is friendly, mostly. The people who take and cook the food orders are not very friendly, but the wait staff and owner(?) are quite friendly and are willing to pick a beer for you if you are unfamiliar with the selections.

I was not able to make it this weekend, but I fully intend on making Choice City a weekly stop. It's my favorite place in Ft. Collins.

Visited this place few weeks ago.

This place has pretty good vibe for a functioning deli, beer is given some props

Quality of beers tasted were very good

Service was friendly & enthusiastic, albeit a touch slow as non-crowded as it was

Only 20 taps, but all were great selections, heavy emphasis on local beers that skew towards one offs. Bottled selection looked fairly good

If this place didn't sell beer I would still come for the food. I had the BEST buffalo burger I've ever had in my life. The Breakfast looked tasty, but alas I had to skip it the next morning, Food is pricey though, beers were more reasonable. I do plan on coming back here the next time through, stellar bar/deli!

A very nice, not too well known spot in Old Town Fort Collins. Small, plenty of tables, and plenty of choices... Great atmosphere.

The only reason I'm scoring a 4 for quality is due to the fact we ordered an aged brew that was HORRIBLY miss poured... I almost turned it away. I would love to share what brew this was, but it would only make you incredibly jealous. The food was quite good, but pretty expensive for what it was... My friend and I bth ordered the buffalo sliders for $13. Most entrees seemed to be nicely overpriced, but hey, some decent food with an amazing brew selection? Who could complain too much?

We also had terrible service, our waitress seemed very flustered and overwhelmed by her job... To CCBSaD's credit I've been here numerous time prior to this experience and had GREAT service.

Well worth your trip and dollars to find this place and stay a while.

Cheers!
