This is one of the more reasonably priced places in town. Their selection isn't all inclusive, but sometimes you are fortunate enough to find something that has sold out around town there. They have a large beer cooler, but unfortunately at least a third of it is full of Budmilloors. There are quite a few singles and bombers cold so you can stop in for something for the road pretty easily. They also have specials on singles that hide often hard to find selections...so don't neglect the discount bins.
They have a 5% cash discount as well as they have specials for some local beer clubs. A nice place to visit...and Spec's in Champions is just around the corner.

I work across the street from this store so I've had every reason to stop here. The last time I went in the shelves were very bare-at least in the beer section. In the past they had a decent beer selection but over the past couple of years it seems to have gone downhill quite a bit. I think they also distribute as there is a large warehouse at the rear of the store.
And I agree with the previous poster-them not supporting the only local microbrewery in Houston is petty.
I now go to Specs on Louetta and FM 1960 almost exclusively and don't waste my time here.

I like to try different styles of beers on different ocassion. Although I am new to this part of town, I find this particular store with a few more hard to finds than most. I was just there about 45 minutes ago and as always I find what I am looking for. Also good selection of liquor and if you have some money in your money-clip you can anticipate a 5% discount for cash buys. Not too shabby if you ask me.
I know there are other liquor stores around here (almost every corner) but this place is like where its at and worth the few extra feet to get too.
Good beers.
