A visit is in order each summer on vacation - thanks to the rents retiring to coastal delaware. Food is excellent, have gotten to try different beers on tap that haven't yet made it to bottle plus whats on Randall! Cool to see the history of one of the most successful craft breweries! Nice little shop too.

Service was the biggest issue. From the host to the server to the manager on duty. The first visit was adults only. The server was new but had little support. The bill was wrong and when we tried to have it corrected it was very difficult. The next visit we had a child. Middle of the day the host was abrupt and rude stating you must leave the stroller outside. Again very short. One of us left to take the stroller to the car. The entire party had to wait outside until I returned. The host would not seat the party until I returned which in turn we again had to wait. Terrible

Finally made the pilgrimage. It was worth every minute.
Got here on a Thursday night around 8 or 9. Suffice it to say, it was busy. We had to wait for about a half an hour outside before we could get in to a table for 2, but that was fine, we just moseyed around outside, checking out their little shop and some of the adjacent shops. When we finally got in there a band was playing pretty loudly, but everyone was having a riot of a time. It was a Thursday night, so I just went with it. We ordered a sampler flight while we waited for our food - it included a chocolate lobster beer and a beer made with beef stew. Not surprising for DFH, but surprisingly good. Food came, it was great, and we ordered another sampler flight (had to try as many as we could, obviously). Prices were reasonable. The service, however, was excellent. Our server was very attentive, even amid the deafening strums of guitar just behind us and our inabilities to decide on beer. She was great. This was a very cool place in the very cool town of Rehoboth Beach. Really, who knew Delaware had beach resort towns of this nature? Not me, anyway.

Always a fun trip when I'm down visiting my grandparents at the beach. Went two times this past weekend.
The brewpub is beautiful. Long bar, with tons of iconic DFH signage everywhere. A cask or two, 25 taps or so, and a Randall thing-y hooked up to the 90 minute tap. They had a fistful of Cascade hops in the Randall for infusions last weekend.
The tap list is deep, and varied, as you'd expect from Dogfish Head. Only a couple of clunkers my last visit- 2012 Urkontinent was pretty bad, IMO. But there are some huge hits. There are great beers that you can only get at this restaurant- Afternoon Snack (a beer brewed with peanuts and apples) and Brewdolph (a Christmasy ale brewed with peppers) were outstanding. The regular line-up is also available- super fresh 60 Minute IPA is to die for. They had World Wide Stout on tap too, much better than the bottled version I had a year ago. I got the last few oz's of the 120 keg for free too, very nice! Got a few flights and tried basically everything they had.
The food is exceptional, and "off centered" as well. Pizzas seem to be their specialty, with lots of cool toppings, and even one with crab on it! Burgers were on point as well. Great simple caesar salad was tasty to me.
The service is very good, considering how busy this place is, even in January! I can't imagine the crowds during the summer. Sat in the downstairs bar area Friday night and ate upstairs Saturday night. Both nights some great live music was pumping out of the downstairs bar area. One of the most fun brewpubs I've ever been to. Make the trip!

Easily one of the best beer/dining experiences I've ever had. Being at Dogfish Head was pretty much a dream come true, and it did not disappoint.
Beers were Dogfish beers... amazing and different. Had the Choc Lobster which was a chocolate stout brewed with Maine lobster, it was incredible. Also, a full 12 oz draft of 120 for about 6 bucks? I thought they made a mistake.
Food was outstanding. Different foods(just like their brews) but all amazing. The mushroom mac and cheese was the best dish I had there, but everything else was also great.
Can't wait to go back again next summer.

Always a good selection of DFH beer. Nothing like drinking them extremely fresh after a tour over in Milton. They are very knowledgable about the beer they brew. I did not try any of the food. The place does get crowded in the summer and surprisingly even in the off season.

Been here several times over the last 5+ years and it has never disappointed. The trip is worth it for the food alone, but the brewpub exclusives add a lot. The regular line-up is very reasonably priced-wife got a 16 oz Indian brown ale for $4.50. They even feature a vintage draft and vintage bottles. The prices are great in the brewpub, but I did notice a price increase on the to-go shop. Still not too bad, but not the great prices they used to have. Long story short, the dogfish brewpub is always worth a trip and is in a great location with a great atmosphere.

For all things Dogfish Head, this is the place. Distillery upstairs, gift shop outside. Plenty of great beer, nice patrons and a few tv's make it a good destination.
Find a DD driver or a cab, the big beers will definitely inhibit your navigation skills.

This was my first time to Rohobeth Beach and the DFH pub. Arriving on an off season Thursday night I found the restaurant and bar packed. One of the few business in the area with a crowd. Luckily though as I was standing by the bar to get a beer a couple seats opened up.
The pub looks like a typical beach side restaurant. It's got some beach themed decorations and, of course, lots of DFH posters on the walls. Outside is a small gift shop with just about anything Dogfish Head related you would want.
There were pizza specials going on this night and along with a very tasty pumpkin bisque I really enjoyed the food. The pizza was a small personal size, but it was loaded. I went in hungry and only ate half my pizza. There was other pub fare and dinner specials on the menu that looked good. Prices were all reasonable. Beers on tap were all DFH. The majority you can get anywhere that DFH is distributed, but there were 3 pub only brews that were worth trying. They also had a 2011 Red & White available.
Service was great. The bartender offered beers when our glasses got low and answered the questions we had.
I also have to note the other patrons at the bar were very friendly. My wife and I struck up conversations with a few different people and after a while I felt like I've known them for a long time.
Overall I had a great time at DFH Brewing & Eats. The crowd was a bit of a turn off though. I'm not sure when I'll be in the Deleware area again, but if I am I'm heading to Rehobeth Beach!
Almost forgot, if you go bring a designated driver or get a room within walking distance. All the beers on tap are high abv.

What can I say about this iconic brand and place, and one of the oldest craft beer innovators still going strong in the USA, and Rehoboth proper.
This is Dogfish and so you probably already have an opinion one way or another about their beer, so you don't come here if you like to slam Sam and his brews which is what I am sure a good portion of the BA online keyboard warriors here spend their time doing.
THe atmosphere is all DFH. Posters, artwork, and logos abound. Nice tasteful looking wooden benches and bar, and a small raised band stage. It's inviting. Sometimes the AC though is just cranked a bit high though, and when there is a band late at night... it's loud... but so it goes, it is after all a bar.
Service is adequate. I've had phenomenal service here, to indifferent, but never bad or incompetent. The bartenders know the beer and the menu.
On tap selection here is interesting. There's the usual run of the DFH lineup with the rotating seasonals, but having just about everything here I really look forward to the one off concoctions that the brewery offers. THey also have a few cellared items such as barleywine and palo santo which you can have from a cellared fridge. At times the randall is going, which can contain anything from palo santo through vanilla beans, world wide through chocolate and coffee, to of course hops. They had 90 minute randalled through cascade hops last I visited and it was fantastic.
I am also very impressed with how they have incorporated the beer into the menu, not just as a pairing, but as ingredients also. Often the beer is in the food, such as the Indian Brown French Onion soup (which is great by the way), to IPA flavored mushrooms that go on their pizzas (which are pretty solid). In the years I have come here I have eaten just about everything on the menu, and never had anything that was mediocre.
Always worth a stop when in town, all the time.
