after taking the 3:00 friday tour at the production brewery in nearby milton, we went immediately to the original rehoboth brewpub to do battle with the randall. the tour is worth taking-you get a few free samples and the opportunity to buy some beers which may not be otherwise available. we picked up some palo santo and world wide stout. the original pub has a lot of character-a homey, just right-sized building in quaint rehoboth beach. decor is antique shop meets brewpub. two levels and a small area for a band. the band that played that night, "special ed and the short bus" (love that name, as i was B.D. in school) was quite good, although not my style of music-bluegrass/country type sounds played by some wacky subculture of guys that look like they just came from a civil war re-enactment. food was decent, the crab dip appetizer in particular was great. selection of beers is all dfh, the mainstays and some seasonals are available along with a couple cellared beers. we had the opportunity to go at it with the aforementioned randall which is used on mondays and fridays. the not-available elsewhere theobroma was quite interesting. we also got to try 105's and midas touch, but our session beer was randallized 90 minute, which left all of us staggering back to our dingy hotel after 8 hrs of battle. our party suffered a 50% casualty rate from the randall, with two vomiting well into the following day. our server was passionate and knowledgable about dfh beers. quite busy as well, even at this time of year. overall a great time and a must visit if you are in rehoboth beach. (1,595 characters)

Vibe is pretty standard for a brew pub, lots of cool DFH swag on the walls, wait staff is friendly, bartenders seemed pretty knowledgeable. Beer is pretty standard for DFH, most of the beers are year around offering, but they did have a few beers that aren't widely available/draft only. Food was good, ordered a pizza, was a little small, but well made. Prices on beer are great, would like to revisit during the fall or winter when there are less people. (459 characters)

Couldn't spend a vacation in Delaware without stopping here, and I'm very glad we did. The service was excellent. Pretty busy for a Wednesday night, but we only waited 15 minutes for a table, and our food was out within 15 minutes of ordering. Our server was attentive and accomodating. I had fish tacos and the wife had crab cakes--both above average. A minor annoyance that my first choice on the "rarities stash" beer list board was actually gone, but it wasn't a problem to find a suitable second choice. Will definitely make my way back here sooner or later. (563 characters)

Great food, great vibe, quality DFH brews, and reasonable prices. The selection is about all one could expect given DFH's popularity and variety of beers. The cask 75 minute IPA served at 55F was fantastic with a burger. A must visit. (237 characters)

So worth the trip! They have other varieties of libations as well, not just beer! (82 characters)

Really? There is nothing special about getting the same beers here you can get everywhere else. Isn't the point to brew beers on site that you can't get anywhere else? On the visit, there was only one beer and it was a black ipa, hardly unique. If the goal is to serve food with dogfish beer, well I guess they did it. It is billed as a place to get unique dogfish brews, when there are none. For unique beer, visit the main brewery. Very disappointing here. (458 characters)

They need to bottle Blood Moon ASAP. For real. It's only my second beer with smoked flavor in it, but I guess I'm a huge fan of that style, because the two smoked beers I've had were exceptional (though this one's technically not a Rauchbier). The food was very good and they have more beer options and more vintage options here than at the brewery. It's also located in a neat town right near the beach. I'm very upset I forgot to try the 75 Minute Cask, I hear that it's a totally different and preferable beast compared with the bottle version, but I guess that's what happens after 120 Minute IPA and 2 flights, one of which was all 10%+ abv. beers. Oh well. I hope to come back some day and find my car in less than 45 minutes. How I wish the brewery and brewpub were closer... (782 characters)
