I went here the week before Christmas while staying down the road in Dewey. The street was well decorated for the holidays, although most of the shops in the area were closed for the season. My girlfriend and I stopped in for dinner around 6. It was the offseason so we had no trouble getting a table; in fact the place was only about half full.
The food was very good and much of it was local grown produce and meats/seafood. I had a garden salad with local veggies and the fifth column pizza with crab, asparagus, and tomatoes. It was different but very good. My girlfriend had the ceasar salad and a crab cake sandwich, which was also very good. I appreciated the diverse menu and local flair of most dishes. Some of the entrees were in the $20-30 range but you can easily get a burger or pizza for $10-15.
The real attraction for me was the beer. They have 20+ beers on tap, including all the usual suspects and a few brewery exclusive beers. They also have the 75 minute on cask, which I highly recommend. I appreciate the fact that their website keeps a very well updated draft list in case you are like me and prefer to do a bit of research ahead of time. They also have a small vintage selection of bottles from the past few years, although these are a bit pricey. Their beers are in a $5-7 price range, which is fine for many of the normal beers in pints, but is a bit much for some of the 10 oz. pours they offer. The prices on the beer are comparable to what I usually find at nicer bars, but I would have expected slightly better for the brewpub. It wasn't outrageously priced, by any means. They also offer a sampler of small pours with the price varying based on what you select. Obviously this is the way to go if you are interested in trying several of their beers. They also have a wide variety of liqour distilled in house with a number of specialty cocktails. I didn't try any but, like the beer, some of them sounded like very unique concoctions.
I appreciated the kiosk outside the brewpubs which offered all of their merchandise and bottled beer to go. I picked up a few different pieces of glassware, a tin sign, and a growler, all very reasonably priced.
Overall I enjoyed my experience here. The atmosphere was laid back with a beach feel. The prices were a tad high, but not unreasonable, especially for a vacation beach town. I recommend checking this place out of you enjoy DFH beers and be sure to get the 75 minute on cask!

Always love heading down to DFH, save for the summer months. Gets supper crowded.
The place has looked almost the same for the last 6+ years that I've been going there, and I really like that about the place. Beach themed craft beer bar that has blown up everywhere but here.
Beer quality is top notch. Can't beat DFH on that front. They have a ton available now with the expanded tap list, and always have a few hidden gems somewhere laying around.
Service is always good to great. When it's busy, it's a little tough, but they do their best. It's always awesome off season when there are mostly locals hanging around.
Beer selection is awesome for a brew pub. I would love to see them have guest taps or more vintage stuff, but that's not going to happen here. DFH serves DFH beer, fresh and well made. Nothing wrong with that.
Food is always good, no complaints.
We head down to DFH from up north as often as we can. Wish they would open a spot in Wilmington or Newark, but I can't see that happening any time soon.

Love all the experimental beers that you will never get anywhere else. Most staff are friendly but surprisingly not all beer savvy! Still tastes are allowed to decide from a superb mix on tap. The one and only sad thing at this Mecca for beer lovers is the food, constantly disappointing and I go there nearly every other week. I know the beer is the draw but for the flagship of the Sam Calagione empire, shocking.
