My wife and I have been wanting to come here for some time now. We finally came here for our two year anniversary. We were seated as soon as we walked in the door and our waitress came over immediately to take our order.
Very comfortable atmosphere. As you walk in you can't help but just be reminded of the beach. With a row boat mounted on the wall in the corner to just simple beach brickabrack.
I was a little disappointed in the amount of beer they had. Nothing really standing out to me besides the ESB and Bitche's brew. Everything else that was on tap is very easy to get around my area.
Food was good and very creative. I had a chicken shrimp sandwhich which was excellent. We ended up getting a bottle of there Pommegrante vodka, and some cool glassware but by the time i got to my hotel I found out it had a crack in it.
We went to the takeout part outside and found a miserable cashier who didn't seem he wanted to be bothered with questions. I asked about the 120 min if they had it in a case. He simply said no check around town. I also don't understand how bottles of 120 min are $10 a piece and by my way they are $8.00. As for there t-shirt's they were $25 as well as there vodka. I mean if the brewpub is more expensive then somewhere 3 hours away and it is cheaper there,Then this place is a bit expensive IMO.
All and all the waiter's or waitresses were very nice and helpful on the inside but as for the fella in the take-out department he needs to have some extended training on his job duties.

Always love heading down to DFH, save for the summer months. Gets supper crowded.
The place has looked almost the same for the last 6+ years that I've been going there, and I really like that about the place. Beach themed craft beer bar that has blown up everywhere but here.
Beer quality is top notch. Can't beat DFH on that front. They have a ton available now with the expanded tap list, and always have a few hidden gems somewhere laying around.
Service is always good to great. When it's busy, it's a little tough, but they do their best. It's always awesome off season when there are mostly locals hanging around.
Beer selection is awesome for a brew pub. I would love to see them have guest taps or more vintage stuff, but that's not going to happen here. DFH serves DFH beer, fresh and well made. Nothing wrong with that.
Food is always good, no complaints.
We head down to DFH from up north as often as we can. Wish they would open a spot in Wilmington or Newark, but I can't see that happening any time soon.

Love all the experimental beers that you will never get anywhere else. Most staff are friendly but surprisingly not all beer savvy! Still tastes are allowed to decide from a superb mix on tap. The one and only sad thing at this Mecca for beer lovers is the food, constantly disappointing and I go there nearly every other week. I know the beer is the draw but for the flagship of the Sam Calagione empire, shocking.
