It is important to note that the traffic in this area is terrible. It took 2.5 hours to drive 70 miles. Plan ahead especially if on a weekend in summer.

The place was very busy and set up in a rustic atmosphere. The menu was very complete and the food items I enjoyed we're excellent. There are many beers on draft including some only available there but beware they seem to rub out of the rarer stuff quickly. The flights are inexpensive. The quality is good but as we all know dogfish makes a lot of weird stuff so even if you don't like what you try you are usually glad you tried some of their unique beers. The service was attentive despite how bust they were.

Overall the location is terrible if you are just dropping by for lunch or something. Great if you want to vacation there for some reason and walk to a good restaurant with an excellent beer list.

Nicely pairs food with beers. They always have a great selection of beers. Check out their secret stash for awesome vintage beers. They have a stand right out front with great swag.

Took the whole family here on a sunny, summer weekday for lunch. We arrived a few minutes before their noon opening and there was already a crowd of about 30 or 40 people waiting to get in. It was a surprising mix of young and old, singles and families, and I was relieved I wasn't the only one that had a couple kids in tow.

We were seated off to the side near the front window of the brewpub. The server arrived and she was very pleasant and helpful and did not seemed fazed at all by my two young children. I'm a 20+ year vet of the restaurant business and I know a lot of people are divided on dining with children. I personally try to avoid it at all costs, because I like to actually relax and enjoy my meal, as do those around me. However, we were on a family vacation and this was Dad's day.

My kids seemed happy with the choices on the kid's menu and my daughter was thrilled to upgrade to her own "special drink" (Dogfish Beach/Root Beer) just like Daddy. The kids were digging it which eased my anxiety and let me relax so I could enjoy some of the fine liquid offerings.

I'll start with the food. As someone who can be overly critical of menu offerings, I'll keep it as brief as possible. The food was good, but not great. The menu selections were interesting, and certainly elevated beyond your normal bar food offerings. I appreciated some of the creativity of their culinary team, like the Spent Grain Pretzels and Duck Poutine. Some of the other dishes fell flat, most notably, the Chicken and Waffle Sandwich. The waffles substituting the bread were limp. The chicken, which had a decent breading was dry under it's crust. It seemed like it could have benefited from some serious brining. The dipping sauce was a Sriracha Maple Syrup, but it felt lacking in both the Sriracha and the Maple departments. I loved the idea but the execution was off. My recommendation would be to stick with the appetizer portion of their menu, and share some snacks with your table while you enjoy the wonderful selection of beers.

And now, the beers... I was so happy that I had arrived on this day. They had just tapped 120 Minute a few days before and the Brewpub Exclusives were ones that I had heard of in the Dogfish lore. Notably, they were serving Choc Lobster and Beer for Breakfast. They allow you to order four samples in each beer flight in any combination of beers that they have on tap. I started out with Choc Lobster and Beer for Breakfast, coupled with 75 Minute Cask and upon the server's recommendation, Palo Ahumado. Each beer was unique and delicious in it's own right. I won't go into detail on each one, but whether you love or hate the results, you have to admire Dogfish' ingenuity and spirit of experimentation. I followed it up with another flight, repeating the Palo Ahumado and Choc Lobster (they were that good) and paired them with Palo Santo Maron and some 120 for dessert.

Well done, Dogfish. They've managed to create a comfortable vibe for everyone with good service, decent food, and outstanding beverages. I hope to make it back there soon.

I went here after going on a tour at their Milton facility, so it was a bit of a Dogfish head day. Knowing already how much I love their beer, I figured it would be enjoyable to have a good meal from their brewpub. Honestly, I could just go on and on about how fantastic the food alone was. My girlfriend ordered something particularly amazing, which was their meatloaf sandwich that utilized their chicory stout for the gravy. It just so happened I ordered the same beer to go with my burger, and the combination with both meals was outstanding. I can say though, despite how much I love that brew, there wasn't much going on with beer menu. Some rarities, but nothing particularly chase that you would feel the NEED to come here. Still fantastic food, solid selection of year round favorites and minor rarities, and friendly unintrusive service. I honestly know I will go back for the food alone.

Visited for lunch after a sunny day stroll on the boardwalk. Our party of 8 was quickly seated (it was so crowded, I think we just lucked out) and service was great for a mobbed pub. I had a randalled Namaste; forgot the additions, but it was pleasant, the normal Namaste wit with a light fruit flavor, slightly spicy. It went well with my crab cakes which were great. The food was slightly upscale pub fare, but nicely prepared and presented. Everyone was happy with their food with the only complaint was that the falafel was a bit dry and uninteresting. The burgers were big and well received. Namaste was the big hit for most people, although a few had the PAM pale lager which got good reviews. Overall a great experience, food, beer and atmosphere, especially for a busy, crowded summer day. I'm on the opposite coast, but I'd come back here in a heartbeat. My only disappointment was that most of the beer on the menu was the same as bottled and available at home. I somehow missed the PAM on the menu, which would have been a new one for me. On the other hand, I totally enjoyed my randalled Namaste so all was well. We filled two growlers to take home.

Vibe is pretty standard for a brew pub, lots of cool DFH swag on the walls, wait staff is friendly, bartenders seemed pretty knowledgeable. Beer is pretty standard for DFH, most of the beers are year around offering, but they did have a few beers that aren't widely available/draft only. Food was good, ordered a pizza, was a little small, but well made. Prices on beer are great, would like to revisit during the fall or winter when there are less people.

Couldn't spend a vacation in Delaware without stopping here, and I'm very glad we did. The service was excellent. Pretty busy for a Wednesday night, but we only waited 15 minutes for a table, and our food was out within 15 minutes of ordering. Our server was attentive and accomodating. I had fish tacos and the wife had crab cakes--both above average. A minor annoyance that my first choice on the "rarities stash" beer list board was actually gone, but it wasn't a problem to find a suitable second choice. Will definitely make my way back here sooner or later.

Great food, great vibe, quality DFH brews, and reasonable prices. The selection is about all one could expect given DFH's popularity and variety of beers. The cask 75 minute IPA served at 55F was fantastic with a burger. A must visit.

So worth the trip! They have other varieties of libations as well, not just beer!

Really? There is nothing special about getting the same beers here you can get everywhere else. Isn't the point to brew beers on site that you can't get anywhere else? On the visit, there was only one beer and it was a black ipa, hardly unique. If the goal is to serve food with dogfish beer, well I guess they did it. It is billed as a place to get unique dogfish brews, when there are none. For unique beer, visit the main brewery. Very disappointing here.
