Had on tap at the tasting room exit 6 off I-94.
A: Pours dark copper with 2 quarters of off white head.
S: Big smoked malt and a hint of acetone.
T: Smokey malt and little else.
M: Lighter than expected for a scotch ale. Light body with average carbonation.
O: This beer is very thin with only smoke in the taste. One and done.

I sampled this on tap at Round Barn on 08/12/2011. I did not have high expectations for any of the Round Barn beers, but this was the best by far. The color was a dark copper. The aroma reminded me of a dark rippened banana. Initial taste was the woody flavor of a scotch ale coupled with a certain tanginess. At this point, the hints of banana in the aroma come to pass. It was a unique interpretation of a scotch ale. While some scotch ales are overpowering and almost too potent, this was very drinkable.
