A summer sipper built for lawn chairs, lawn games and lawn mowing, Fresh Slice features the spicy, estery flavor profile of Belgian yeast laced with the juicy hop flavors and aromas of American hops.

This White IPA recipe tips the scales with a slice of clementine, a hit of coriander and an 1/8th of...wait, what? This one features a crisp, fresh citrus ripeness deriving from additions of clementine juice and sweet orange peel in the brew process. The first Otter Creek can offering, this is one slice you'll be holding all summer long!

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Slightly hazy medium to light golden pour. 1.5 fingers of foamy white head... decent lacing.

S: Light and citrusy. Lemon zest and tangerine.

T/F: Light malts and grains. Strong citrusy hop profile... lemongrass, thyme, and orange rind. A little spicy. Mild sweetness to go with the bitter. Relatively light in body... refreshing. Finish is sticky citrus.

O: A nice light summer IPA. Great citrus notes... refreshing and easily drinkable. Overall tasty.

This one just did not work. A wierd lemony, grapefruit, citrus flavor. It looked good in the glass, but thats where it stopped.

This was poured into a tulip because of the "Belgian twist" on the style. The appearance was a glossy orange to hazy yellow. A decent transparency allows some floaties to be shown roaming throughout the body. The smell takes the big burst of clementine and balances it with a slight coriander. Refreshing lemon also plays a nice backup as well. The taste is balanced from the spice to the sweet and builds up a decent little kick of citrus in the finish. There’s no aftertaste. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. Carbonation is fulfilling as an AIPA and balances decently to the Belgian side of the spicy build-up. Adequate harshness with a wet refreshing glance over my tongue. Overall, what a nice crisp refreshing take on an AIPA to brighten to a slight Belgian style.

A little too much Belgian for the diminished overall profile. Not terrible, but it was like they didn't want to actually go for it, so you get an ipa with a hint if Belgian spice

Looks ok, slightly hazy and light in color. Scent is slightly citrus with slight Belgian yeast in there too. Flavor is weak citrus with some malt and mild bitterness in the finish. Decent flavored but almost too gentle. I'm not getting the Belgian flavors not that I mind as I like an IPA flavor profile anyway. Good carbonation and medium in mouthfeel. Overall, I could pound these. Pretty good.

From June 2015
A: Pours a golden straw color with a thin head; lots of floaters
S: Lots of citrus and coriander, but not much more
T: Follows the nose with some floral hop at the end. Was hoping for more flavor based on the description.
M: Medium carbonation, thin / light feel
O: Not something I would buy again
