A big American pale ale overgrown with all the American hops we could dig up. Dripping with dank, American hop flavors and aromas, Overgrown is balanced by a subtle, sweet malt backbone that takes a back seat to the bountiful hop additions. A celebration of the hop-growing season, this one will tangle up your taste buds.

a really fresh hoppy pale. all the key components of a pale with an overload of hops, fresh hops. lot of floral and citrus action going on, explosive flavor, clean bitter finish

This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a semi-hazy burnt orange color with a decent transparency about it. Foamy lacing occurs in rings after a one finger white foamy head dissipated after about a minute. The smell starts off with juicy citrus and thick piney hops bursting with hop oils. The taste follows the smell and leads into a nice thick juicy citrus/piney aftertaste. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability despite the bitterness of the hops in the taste and smell. With an oily thickness, this one really stays slick on my tongue to make a really nice session. Overall, easy going APA, might be a good fishing beer.

Strong head remains through the brew. But a very piney taste distracts from the overall flavor. A smooth beer that doesn't overwhelm with hops - you can tell the strong malt presence.

This APA pours a murky light brownish orange with a fairly small foamy white head. The smell is very typical APA, with strong citrus character and a mild pine scent as well. The citrus character in the flavor is less than I would have thought. There are some distinct grapefruit and orange notes, but the pine flavor is dominant. There are also undertones of grass, earth, and caramel malts. The bitterness is lingering and there is a somewhat dry, cloying finish. The body is medium. I am not typically a huge APA fan to begin with, but this is clearly not a top APA either. It’s not the first beer from this brewery that I’ve found underwhelming. I don’t think this is bad drinking necessarily, but I do think it’s overrated.

A solid APA. Nice hop profile for a pale ale. Citrus, grapefruit rind and some mild spice. It is a solid offering and one i would buy again. I prefer some of their IPA offerings but this one fits nicely into the lineup as their fall seasonal.

They went for more balance her and have achieved it but there is still a nice hop profile.

I like the direction this brewery has gone in the last year or so.

12 oz. bottle poured into a becker.

Appearance: Hazy gold with a big white head.

Aroma: Hoppy, floral.

Taste: Very similar to Over Easy. Hoppy pale ale. Citrus, hops.

Mouthfeel: Refreshing and easy.

Overall: I don't see what separates this title from its sibling Over Easy. It's maybe one percent ABV stronger, but if you allege that you can notice that, you're lying. A good beer, but ... why?
