Thanks, Sully for this nice brew!
Appearance: Dark black with a tan head. Seems to have larger bubbles. Head vanishes quickly, but leaves a small trace on top. Not much lacing left in the glass.
Smell: Oats, coffee, nuts, grains. Pretty much what I'd expect. A good combination of scents that makes me feel a tad hungry. The label says everything in this is organic...I don't smell anything at all different from regular ingredients.
Taste: Nutty, with a good bit of coffee hints. Oats lined throughout, but not overly so. Seems to a little more subtle on the oats. A slight sweetness on the end. No real alcohol taste.
Mouthfeel: Seems to be smooth, but a tad more liquidy than other oatmeal stouts. Similar to the Wild Goose Oatmeal in texture. Seems to have more of an Ale/Lager feel to it.
Drinkability: I'd say very drinkable. Does not have a huge alcohol tinge to it, so I could definitely down a few of these.
Overall: A fine brew overall. I reccommend it, but not in the face of the upper-echelon Oatmeal Stouts.
