12oz "pint" pour into a "pint" glass.
This is one of my go-to beers when supermarket shopping for beer in New England. Easy drinking out of the bottle that left me a bit disappointed from the keg.
The flavor was bland, malt with no depth that perfectly mirrored the aroma. A little coffee note but more to the acrid side.
The mouthfeel was still better than average with good carbonation but lacking the creaminess or full-on malt presence that would make it noteworthy. Certainly a palatable porter but no an exceptional one.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle stamped with 3414-091212. Sampled on January 20, 2014 and I have to think it is well past its expiration date.
The pour is dark brown with a short-lived tan colored head. Great color.
The aroma is of dark malts, smoke, butter, and earthy hops.
The body is in the medium range with a creamy texture.
The taste is much like the aroma with a decent dark malt forward character, mild sweetness, burnt barley, and a fairly mild hop finale. A pretty well balanced Porter that is easy to drink.
