Love this Porter from the bottle so when they put the cask on at The Old Toad and the owner asked if like to have a pint with him, how could I say no? Smooth luxiurious head and an aroma that is blended with smokiness and malt. Mouthfeel is creamy smooth and just feels good!
Roasted coffe and caramel flavors but not overpowering. This one just gets better with each sip! Probably the most enjoyable Porter I've ever had.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle stamped with 3414-091212. Sampled on January 20, 2014 and I have to think it is well past its expiration date.
The pour is dark brown with a short-lived tan colored head. Great color.
The aroma is of dark malts, smoke, butter, and earthy hops.
The body is in the medium range with a creamy texture.
The taste is much like the aroma with a decent dark malt forward character, mild sweetness, burnt barley, and a fairly mild hop finale. A pretty well balanced Porter that is easy to drink.
